Fantastic B&B

Christmas gift idea: if you know someone who loves visiting the Lancaster area (whether for Kitchen Kettle Village or Sight and Sound or the other music / shopping venues), get them a gift certificate to stay overnight at the Country Hearth B&B. Oh my God! We never stayed in a B&B before and now we are hooked. You will be spoiled from the time you arrive ( homemade cookies) til the time you leave. Every effort is made for your comfort, from the extreme cleanliness, amazing bed, beautiful room, and homemade breakfast. We had french toast made with homemade bread, maple syrup infused homemade whipped cream, homemade biscotti, and a cheese/ apple/ popcorn tray....as well as a to go bag with local goodies. As a total NON COOK, I was blown away....but not too far because I think I gained some happy pounds! Go there! Be happy!

New B&B Off to a Strong Start

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful long weekend as guests at the Country Hearth. The owners, James and Thomas, were incredibly welcoming, accommodating without being obsequious and friendly without being intrusive. Our room comfortably fit a king bed. The warm weather did not enable us to enjoy the fireplace, but the decor was fresh and comfortable. Downstairs was a sitting room, the dining room and a study, all inviting and nicely sized. A word about breakfast: Wow! Our hosts asked about and accommodated our dietary guidelines through creative dishes prepared with ingredients bought that morning at the local Amish farmer's market. The food was uniformly delicious and plentiful - I could have easily skipped lunch afterward. In addition, they baked fresh cookies, which were put out every day, and sent us off with a few breakfast treats to fortify us through the day. Our only two minor issues were: 1) traffic noise (not controllable, obviously, but the inn is at a lighted intersection and there is a lot of late-night motorcycle and truck traffic that idles loudly while waiting for the light to turn); and 2) the in-room shower has low water pressure and is mounted such that anyone over average height has to bend to wash/rinse their hair. Notwithstanding, we had a wonderful weekend and have every intention of booking our stay there for next year's trip.

Country Hearth B&B

I would definitely recommend the B&B. The owners were very accommodating and our room was very comfortable. Also a great location for seeing the sights around Lancaster county.

Quaint Bed and Breakfast was perfect!

New Holland is such a lovely, quaint little town in Eastern PA just east of Lancaster, PA. Country Hearth Bed and Breakfast was perfect. The room we stayed in was lovely, decorated for the era of that time. Bonnie and David were absolutely the perfect hosts. Breakfast was delicious!

Lovely B & B in the heart of Lancaster Co.

What a lovely, historic home! Dave and Bonnie were cheerful and so knowledgeable about the history of the area. We had breakfast with others staying at the Inn - the fresh fruit, special amish oatmeal and the eggs picante were all delicious. The room was beautiful, well appointed and had all the comforts of home. Our shower had two showerheads which I now want in my own home. All in all a great place to stay - we would definitely stay there again!

The owner of the Inn were very welcoming and friendly. The Inn is beautiful and the rooms are excellent. The breakfast is out of this world delicious and great new experience sharing with all the other guests and excellent warm asmosphere. The owners were very attentive to your needs. The Inn has a parking space for their guest. The house is uniquen it make me feel that I was in a black and white movies, just beautiful. My expectation of this Inn was beyond of what I was expecting. It was a dream come truth. It was a wonderful experience wish hopefully next year I will come back.

Charming hosts and inn

Stayed in the Cherub room which was lovely. The room has a fireplace, but I'm not clear if it is functional. The weather was warm enough though that it wasn't needed. There is an electric fireplace that does work, but again it wasn't needed. The hosts were very pleasant and welcoming. My wife had an early meeting and although they were unable to move the breakfast earlier than 8:30, they kindly provided her with tea and a delicious banana/chocolate chip muffin. An overall lovely stay. Note that there is some road noise at night.
