Gut: Sauberkeit
This is a lovely property. Right on a beautifully clear lake, surrounded by woods, peaceful and quiet. You can watch deer coming down to the lake in the morning. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortably furnished. However, we came in September, when the nights were pretty cold, and discovered the furnace was not working. The pilot light needed to be lit and that's really something i'm not familiar or comfortable with, particularly when the equipment is not my own. We called for help about 6:00PM - it took us a while to determine that the heat was really not working - and could not get assistance that night. We piled on all the blankets from every bed in the house - there are several - and were ok until the next day, when a handyman came to light the light and also clean the burners, which were dirty. The owner of the cabin told us he would give us back one night's rent, which I felt was reasonable. Unfortunately, we never received that credit. I'll say again that the cabin was comfortable (once we got heat) and absolutely beautiful. I think it should be better maintained, with things like the heating checked out before people arrive. The owner said there were space heaters in the house, but there were none. And if you tell me you're going to give me back a night's rent - which I did not ask for - I expect that you will do it.
