SURF AT PLAYA TESORO

If surfing is part of your Nicaragua plans, you won't have far to go.

The waves are right outside your door.

Surfboards and boogie boards are available for rent, and surf lessons can be arranged for guests who want to learn.

Whether you're heading out for an early-morning surf or trying it for the first time, staying this close to the ocean makes it easy.

EXPERIENCE OUR TURTLE HATCHERY

Playa Tesoro is home to our community-supported sea turtle hatchery, created to help protect sea turtle eggs along our coastline.

During turtle season, eggs are rescued from poachers and protected in the hatchery until the baby turtles are ready to make their journey to the Pacific.

When nature and timing cooperate, guests may have the incredible opportunity to witness a turtle release at sunset.

Our hatchery is a non-profit conservation initiative supported entirely by donations.

Casa Naranja has Starlink Wi-Fi, so you can stay connected even while enjoying our secluded location.

It's a great option for longer stays and remote workers — although we won't blame you if the laptop stays closed.

FOOD & GROCERIES

Casa Naranja has its own kitchen so you can prepare meals during your stay.

Because Playa Tesoro is a secluded beach destination, we strongly recommend purchasing your main groceries before arriving.

Our small on-site Tienda Tesoro carries a selection of beverages, dry goods, canned goods and basic essentials.

There is currently no full-service restaurant at Playa Tesoro, so guests should plan their groceries accordingly.

LAUNDRY

Casa Naranja does not have its own washer or dryer, but laundry service is available on-site for an additional fee.

GETTING TO PLAYA TESORO

Our secluded location is part of the experience, but we want guests to know what to expect before they arrive.

The final portion of the journey to Playa Tesoro is along an unpaved rural road, and conditions can vary depending on the season.

We recommend contacting us before travelling for current road conditions and transportation advice.

Transportation to Playa Tesoro can also be arranged for an additional fee.

If you're looking for restaurants, nightlife and shops immediately outside your door, Playa Tesoro may not be the right destination.

If you're looking for a quiet oceanfront escape where the Pacific is steps away, you've found it.
