Everything we wanted!

This property was incredible. The owners and property manager were very hospitable and easy to reach, both before and during our stay. The home is even more beautiful than in the photos, and each of the bedrooms feels very private and separate from the others - great for three couples sharing the space. The house is very clean, comfortable, and well-decorated, and the kitchen has everything you could need. Finally, the outdoor area is just amazing - we spent as much time with the doors open or under the awning next to the pool as we could! The place is a little hard to find and GPS doesn't get you there accurately, so we recommend asking Stéphane for a house/road number and directions in advance. Thanks so much for a perfect stay for my husband's birthday!

Great place for food and friends!

I brought my 95 year old ( very with it) Mom to Provence ....rented Mas de Gil and invited friends and family. Everything was exactly as described in the online description...and the owner and manager were really helpful in making sure my Mom had what she needed. We had one of their recommended Chefs (Saouda Chaibi) prepare two dinners and a lunch. They were all fabulous. We wandered through the local markets , hiked along the beautiful trails in the Alpilles, had a painting class on site and visited many of the local ruins. The accommodations were luxurious, the kitchen completely equipped....a joy to cook in... and the dining areas created this fabulous atmosphere were we ate meals for 2 hours and realized how important our time with our family and friends is in our lives. You will really cherish your stay at Mas de Gil. My Mom said it was a trip of a lifetime!

Wonderful villa

From the moment we drove in, this villa exceeded our expectations! The beautiful fig trees & olive groves were spectacular as was the entire property. It was a quintessential Provençal property and every detail added to it’s southern French charm. It’s even bigger than it appears online, and was very spacious for our family of 5. Sublime two weeks at Mas de Gil

We have just returned after two weeks at the marvelous Mas de Gil. The property is spectacular, as the photographs show. Beatrice is warm and welcoming and very attentive to every need. What doesn't come across in the photos is how luxurious the bedding and towels are, and how very comfortable the beds are. I have chronic back issues but slept comfortably and soundly. Our party included chefs who loved cooking in the fantastic kitchen! It was heartbreaking to leave, but we know we will return!

A perfect retreat in Provence

We traveled from New York City to get away from the crowds, the noise, and to experience a simpler life for a week in Provence and this house was PERFECT for that in every way. All you could hear were the cicadas chirping and birds singing outside. It was a fantastic oasis away from the daily grind. The indoor/outdoor kitchen space was spectacular and we kept the doors open all day for easy in and out. All the bedrooms are fully decorated and are super cozy. You feel right at home instantly. Anything you may need during your stay, they have. All you need to bring are your clothes. We loved cooking dinners in every night and sitting al fresco. We couldn't have asked for a better getaway. The town of St.Remy is only a 7 min drive from the house, so super easy and convenient shall you need to go to the grocery, bakery, or anywhere else. The property manager was very accessible and was quick to answer any questions we had. This house is a total gem. We loved every minute of staying there and wished we had a few more days. We were definitely sad to leave!

Better than advertised

Nothing could do justice to this home and the total experience in Saint Rémy. The house is flat out amazing. The attention to detail, quality of materials and style are beyond what we could have imagined. Check in was thorough and quick. The property manager was always available. Gil and Beatrice are a lovely couple and they made us feel like it was our home. The home is spacious and the outside pool and grounds are incredible. We will be looking to return very soon. If anyone is questioning wether to rent this place, don’t...book it now!

A splendid villa!

The villa was exactly as advertised. Beatrice, the owner, was so so patient in answering questions and helpful with transport arrangements before our stay. Stephane, the manager, was quick to respond to our requests during the stay. The villa was tastefully and luxuriously appointed with such attention to details. There were two chefs in our group of travelling buddies. They had a great time cooking in the fully equipped kitchen fit for professionals. St Remy de Provence, in which the villa was located, was a perfect base to explore Provence. It was central and the town itself was charming and not overrun by tourists. All in all, this was the best villa we've stayed in and we would love to come back!

Wonderful Home

We had a wonderful stay during our recent visit to Mas de Gil - everything from the check-in process to the amenities in the house were 5-star. Both Beatrice and Stephane were also very responsive to answer any questions we had. The house is a 5-min drive to the nearest grocery store and bakeries - and great location for trips to the wineries in the surrounding area. It was a wonderful experience overall - we will be back!

Beautiful Mas de Gil and St Rémy!

Our family of 5 from the US, including 3 children ages 6-8, absolutely loved Mas de Gil and the town of St Rémy and surrounding areas. We only wish we could have stayed an extra week! The Mas is more beautiful in person than even in pictures, and Stéphane was an extremely helpful and attentive house manager. She provided suggestions on cooks, local wineries, local stores for groceries, things to do with the children and so much more. The home itself is a dream, both inside and out. We spent entire days just enjoying the pool and grounds. The house is in a quiet area away from the town, but only a 5-7 minute drive to town and everything you need. The inside of the home is gorgeous and came supplied with games, books, baby dolls, pool toys for the children and of course a fully stocked kitchen and even a wine cellar with marked prices if you would like to enjoy a bottle of wine without leaving the house. We cannot recommend Mas de Gil enough, and hope to come back again in the future.

Mas de Gils is Fantastic!

We had an incredible time during our week long stay. The Mas is beautiful both inside and out and exceptionally well equipped on every front, great for kids and adults. Amazing!

This house is truly wonderful! My family and I just spent a week in this home, and I can't even describe how beautiful it is! The house is quintessential Provencal - stone walls, beam ceilings with white, grey and khaki interiors. French doors and balconies and sliding recessed doors that all lead to the perfect back yard - with pool, lounge chairs, outdoor living room, outdoor dining room, large lawn and children's play area. The owner has thought of everything you might need to enjoy your stay. There are bicycles, ping pong, bocce ball, pool toys, more board games than you could imagine, and toys for small children. A wine cellar - acting like a mini bar, with prices listed for you to enjoy. We were a family of six from Southern California - my husband and I, two sons, a daughter in law and sixteen month old baby (and there was everything a baby could need). We had a crib, bike seat, endless toys, and outdoor play toys and pool toys. We toured small villages during the day (St Remy, Les Baux, I'sle Sur la Sorgue, Nimes and Avignon, and enjoyed the house in the afternoon and evening. We cooked most nights at the house in a perfectly equipped kitchen. The house is stunning - better than the pictures and exceeded our expectations. We truly hope to return. It was the perfect family retreat!

This is as close to heaven as you're going to find. Even though we visited a bit "early" in the season, thereby making the pool too chilly for use, I could have simply looked out of the window for hours on end at the incredible views. Aside from being incredibly beautiful, the house was equipped with every possible amenity, and the owner even left snacks and beverages to welcome us to the property. My extended family gathered in the huge kitchen and sipped wine by the fire, savoring every moment in this beautiful setting. Every bedroom and bathroom in the house looked as though they belonged in Architectural Digest - and each one enjoyed a spectacular view. Do not miss the opportunity to stay in this gem - you will never want to leave. We shall definitely return.
