It's also a great spot if you're visiting or doing a trade show in Chicago... It's about a 30 minute ride to downtown... just close enough while being out of the hustle and bustle. « Perfect for large families. Plenty of bedrooms and large kitchen and dining room. This is a charming and very old home but it has been sufficiently updated with everything needed. The pod coffee maker stopped working but a quick message to the owner resolved that problem within the day. That was awesome! The only challenge we had was parking. « I guess we could all say that at one point or another things didn’t quite go to plan. This stay definitely has a story we will be talking about years from now. Our stay coincided with the first major cold snap of the season and had it worked out to check in about a half hour prior to normal check-in, in which the code I'd been given was so very wrong. « We absolutely loved it. It was our first time doing a home rental and this was a great start. It’s within walking distance to downtown, in a walkable neighborhood, and had enough room for 5 of us comfortably. I will say if you are a taller person, I suggest staying upstairs, we had a few head bonks going down to the basement. The check in and out process was simple. We had a couple maintenance issues pop up and management was super fast in responding and offered to come over and fix it. »
