Gemütliches Zimmer im Pub nähe Innenstadt
Das Queen in the West B&B hat nur zwei Zimmer, eines im Erdgeschoss und eins im 1. Stock, ich würde das EG Zimmer empfehlen. Es hat einen eigenen Eingang von der Straße her, man muss also nicht durchs zugehörige Pub gehen. Parken ist kostenlos vor dem Haus. Das Frühstück wird im Pub serviert und frisch zubereitet, Personal sehr freundlich! Das Zimmer ist gut eingerichtet, kleiner Schrank, großes Bett, zwei Kommoden, Flat-Screen TV, Bad ausreichend groß, Dusche gut. Wir waren für zwei Nächte dort und das Zimmer wird nur auf Anfrage gereinigt. Fußläufig liegt das B&B 15 Minuten von der Innenstadt von Lincoln entfernt, die Stadt ist ein absolutes Highlight und wiegesagt : vom B&B aus zu Fuß alles gut machbar. Insgesamt zu dem Preis absolut empfehlenswert.

Tolles Hotel für Sightseeingreise!
Wir haben uns für drei Tage eingemietet und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Hotel ist sehr urig und der Angegliederte Pub hat eine sehr tollr Atmosphäre. Das Frühstück war vorzüglich und ausreichend und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist kein Hotel in dem man den ganzen Tag auf dem Zimmer verbringt, aber ein Hotel in dem man sauber und ruhig übernachtet. Wir werden es wieder buchen, denn es hat uns gut gefallen. Vielleicht noch was zu der Lage! Das Hotel liegt ruhig, aber nur wenige Gehminuten von der Innenstadt und dem Kanal.

Firstly unlike Expedia description the Queen in the west is NOT a bed and breakfast business found out at check that they do not provide meals of any type. They suggested to go to a cafe for breakfast which is a 6 minute walk away. But failed to advise us that is it closed due to refurbish. Will Not use Expedia again to find accommodation.

Rooms are in a good location near to bars and restaurants and the picturesque riverside. The pub itself is friendly and good value with a good selection of real ales. There is a quiz night on a Thursday. We considered the room itself was reasonable value for money and although it has all facilities needed, it could do with updating, especially the shower room, which is small.

A little gem at a very good price
This is not traditional pub accommodation - no beery smells, swirly carpets, or noise from below; in fact the accommodation is in a separate part of the building well away from the bars. There was a ground floor room, which I did not see; I was on the first floor - good sized, tastefully decorated bedroom and huge shower room with basin and toilet immediately next door for my sole use. (One word of warning - the stairs are steep and narrow.) Parking is on the street outside using permit provided by the hosts. 15-20 minutes walk to the cathedral, mostly uphill! (But not coming back of course.)

Good value, basic accommodation. Clean and tidy with some homely touches. Friendly but non intrusive welcome. Parking easy on the street but make sure you have a pass for the next day also as the parking restrictions kick in at 8am, the parking attendants were out and about and check out is at 11am. No breakfast, just a room. Nice pub attached with a beer garden. Central location. Good for us parents visiting university students.

Traditional, quaint, comfortable - a real gem
Plesantly suprised with the accommodation. Private room with own front door and back door to the pub garden. Sufficient and comfortable for a short stay. Will stay again. Only issue is do not do food and no fridge in the room - landlord kindly kept our milk in their fridge though so we sst and ate our cereals in the pub garden in the morning.

Owner was so helpful we arrived early but was unable to check in as other guests where still in the room but he gave us a car parking pass so we was able to go off into the city without having to worry if finding somewhere to park until check in time Room was lovely and although next to the beer garden it didn’t affect our stay we would def recommend and stay again

Good overnight stay.
Lovely clean room. New carpet and everything was spotless. Large bathroom with a slate floor which made it quite cold. Maybe needs a large rug. Shower was hot and worked well. Very happy with our stay there.

Room without permanent heating. Only portable oil radiator and infrared heater. Totally inadequate for winter nights. Very expensive for this type of room and definitely not a hotel! Very disappointed with this place.

Staff helpful and friendly, but the photographs online promoting the Queen of The West were misleading making the property look better than it was. Room was below par, carpet was stained, furniture was dated and there was a odour of dampness in the room, wouldn’t recommend.

Great breakfast and good value for money
I chose this accommodation as I was looking for somewhere simple and not to expensive for a short visit to Lincoln. I am glad I did. Being frank, the room is tired and if you're looking for five star, this is not for you. But it was warm, comfortable and adequate for a one night stay. The room is actually beside a traditional local pub. The welcome was very friendly and helpful. There's free WiFi and you get a parking permit to park on the street outside. The breakfast was better than I have had in much more expensive hotels. I'd stay here again.

Very Noisy
The house (ground floor, one room and bathroom, of a house) backs onto the beer garden and the front door (well, it isn't a door more of a gate) is right on the street so it was really noisy. We could still hear the band at 1 in the morning. So if you want peace this isn't for you. There was damp in the room, no bedside tables ( a sloping writing bureau one side). The lighting was very dim and could only be switched off by getting out of bed. The service was very friendly, as was the pub and the breakfast was very nice. Parking is by a permit which you need to get from the pub and is on street parking.

Lovely friendly staff, decent breakfast, No evening meals at pub and a fair walk for food, room clean but very cold on arrival, warmed up over the 2 nights we were there but only just adequte heating..a little noisy at pub leaving time..which was gone 1.00am at weekends with music..rooms just needs a bit of TLC very comfy bed.
