Das Studio im Dach hatte leider ein sehr kleines Bad mit Dachschrägen, so dass man sich immer ducken musste.

From the moment I arrived, Rui, our host, was the most hospitable, kind, and helpful person. He gave me excellent insider advice on how to get to Pena palace and back. I am very glad I listened and went early. He is full of excellent food recommendations in and around Sintra. I'll admit I was a little wet-eyed to leave. Definitely be back!

The best place to stay in all of Sintra! Owner and general manager, Rui, is very welcoming and helpful. Beautiful family business, clean and extremely well kept, excellent location close to bus and train stations. We loved calling it home for a few nights!

All the lovely reviews this property receives are true! I can't think of a better place to end our trip than with Rui at Hotel Nova Sintra! Because it is off / above the street, it is quiet and has a lovely view from the patio as well as the room window. It is quite safe with access by guest key only. The train station and town bus stops are only a short walk down the street. We arrived by bus from Porto and made a bit longer walk to the hotel, but very do-able with rolling luggage. The complimentary breakfast buffet had a great deal of variety and was filling and delicious. Our room was clean and comfortable. My favorite thing about this hotel was the black washcloth provided for make-up removal - I know that might sound silly, but most European hotels do not provide washcloths. I had forgotten my own, and this was a nice touch.

Excellent small hotel, room good sized, clean & comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Host, Rui, was terrific, making us feel very comfortable, and was extreemly informative and helpful in providing restaurant, sightseeing, and transportation recommendations. Would definitely look to stay again.

Very convenient location, walking distance to the train station. There is a self service washerteria next to the hotel. Very nice breakfast. Room was not big but very clean. Staff was very friendly.

We had a wonderful two nights in Sintra, giving us plenty of time to enjoy the sights (too many to do in a day trip from Lisbon). The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful, offering us inside tips on the best routes to take. Hotel was easy to find and convenient to the landmarks but also nicely out of the main touristy bustle.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Nova Sintra during our visit to Sintra. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice. This hotel surpassed all our expectations and offered an unforgettable experience, making our vacation truly exceptional. The location of the hotel is great for exploring all the local attractions, and has an amazing view of the Moorish Castle up in the hills, from the terrace One of the key factors that set this hotel apart from others was the exceptional hospitality of our host, Rui. From the very beginning, he welcomed us with warmth and genuine kindness. Rui's extensive knowledge of the area helped us plan our daily excursions efficiently, ensuring we made the most of our time exploring the area. His dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction was evident throughout our stay, as he always checked in to see if everything was to our liking whenever we met him. The room we stayed in was both elegant and cozy, offering a perfect retreat after long days of exploration. The cleaning is great and one of the thoughtful gestures that really made an impression on my girlfriend, was how they to her surprise had cleaned all the hairs off her hairbrush. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Hotel Nova Sintra enough.

Amazing stay in Sintra
The weather was really wonderful (75-80 Fahrenheit) and we were able to stroll to and around the city center. Rui was an extremely knowledgeable and caring host. He shared his tips for visiting the attractions in the area as well as shared some recommendations. He checked in with us as we saw him throughout the day to make sure all our needs were met. We would love to visit again!

First trip to Sintra
Our stay at Hotel Nova Sintra was absolutely marvelous. We came with our dear friends to celebrate his 70th birthday. Rui made our stay so special. The rooms were very nice, clean and spacious. After visiting the town, we would come back every afternoon around 4-5 and enjoy Happy Hour on the patio. Such a lovely experience.
