The room was filthy! Obviously had not been vacuumed, wallpaper peeling off the wall in several places, the trim was not completed and dirt and lint had collected on it. We closed the draped and there was something indescribable staining. The floors in many spots had stains. When I got into the shower, there was something in the shower wall. I out a towel down to try to feel like I was walking in something clean, the side of the towel that was on the floor was brown with dirt! We left!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We believe you have left out multiple details on your stay. The first thing is that you booked a (No Cancel) Reservation and were demanding a refund before you even stay at the Hotel. The staff explained that we could not cancel your reservation and you would be charged for the No Show due to how you booked your reservation as a (No Cancel). The second detail that there was evidence in your room #207 of smoking. We are a (100%) Non-Smoking Hotel, pure and simple. Your claims of the room being dirty are false, due to the fact the we walked your room after check out due to the smoke smell. We wish you well and best travels.

Pros: Great location right off the highway. Ample parking. At check-in we had the pleasure of dealing with Pat. She was nothing short of amazing! Friendly, helpful and it was easy to see that she loved her job and really enjoyed dealing with the public. This hotel needs to bend over backwards to keep her. Room was small but nice. Air con worked well. Bed was super comfy. Included breakfast was awesome. Cons: After a long day of being out we got back to the hotel fairly late - hoping to grab 2 bottles of water from the front desk. At the front desk was the polar opposite of Pat. Her name was Chola. Aloof, disinterested and really seemed that she would have rather been anywhere else but there. We thanked her for the water and went up to our room. Neither of our key worked. Back down to deal with Chola - another unpleasant experience. Once back in our room and getting into bed, we noticed just how dirty and stained the comforter and blanket on the bed were. It was pretty gross. Not wanting to have to get dressed and go back to deal with Chola, we took it off and slept with only a top sheet. The other downside was the wifi. I’ve never had such issues connecting/staying connected to a hotel wifi in my life - not even in the Caribbean. Summary: Would we stay here again? Yes. An indifferent employee, spotty wifi and dirty bedding aren’t dealbreakers. We had such a pleasant check-in experience, wonderful sleep and great breakfast. We now know to check the bedding right away.

The bed linens and mattress covers on both beds had stains, the toilet seat didn’t fit, the drain plug didn’t work in the bath tub and the carpet was stained . Not a very good variety for hot breakfast.

I booked a room here on somewhat short notice--I had canceled a solar eclipse trip due to predicted bad weather and wanted to try somewhere else in the zone of totality that was a driveable distance from home. The price for the room was exorbitant -- 3x or more what a usual rate would be. I understood that there was high demand due to the eclipse, so I was willing to pay. However, the hotel did not meet standards. Housekeeping did not clean our room on either day that we were there, even though we left the sign on our door indicating when they could come. The bathroom was cramped, and the sink was not in the bathroom. Sheets and towels had stains. Hallways smelled musty. The breakfast was pretty good, although they ran out of coffee on our first day. Front desk staff was friendly and polite. But paying luxury hotel prices for a less than mediocre stay at a place off the highway outside Syracuse? Terrible. We ended up leaving early to drive home in crazy traffic rather than staying for the third night that I had paid for.

They allowed pets so there where very loud dogs barking. While I was trying to sleep. I believe we had flees in our room. We had no wash cloths at one point. And we left something in the room and it's be hard to get it back.

Also, if you left something at the Hotel, please call the Hotel directly, leaving a statement its hard to get something back when you haven't even contacted the Hotel to inquire is ridiculous. I first was given a room on the 3rd floor and there was an unattended barking dog across the hall. I quickly called the front desk and they changed my room to the first floor by the fitness room. It was very quiet and comfortable. My only complaint was how dirty the floor was. The slate/tile looked like it hadn’t been mopped in a long time. The carpet was old and stained (even though the hotel bragged about their remodel). Everything else was great and I will stay again!

Convenient location, near highway. Friendly welcome. Staff did not read the notes made on the booking for they initially gave us a room on the pet floor, despite being notified of our allergies ahead of time. The room was a bit run down with stains on walls and sheets. Beds were comfortable enough. Breakfast had hot options like eggs and waffles but a limited selection of items overall.

Upon arrival The Receptionist with no Name tag ( I could see the top of her two coloured hair but had to stand taller to see her seated person. NO GREETING I said i am checking she still remained seated. She stated ID & credit card. Passed me a paper to sign. and then stood and handed me keys. I said I understood I get a free gift today with a smile. After rolling her eyes she reached under the counter and slammed the bottle of wine on the counter. I thanked her. The room was pleasant but several pet pee stains. The Bed was comfy and after 12 hours of driving I slept well. The Breakfast provided was excellent with the fluffiest scrambled egg. The Girl who prepared everything was very pleasant and friendly and did not see a name tag. Everything was great until I took my shower NO HOT WATER not even at the sink. It was just getting colder. No one at the desk to check out. LOCATION was perfect.

Thank you for your recent stay. I reviewed the cameras and saw that our front desk greeted you professionally as you walked in to check in and provided a bottle of wine for you VIP status. There was no slamming the bottle of wine on the counter. I will certainly share your remarks with her, as she is always looking for feedback to improve her job. She has been with us for over 5 years and has done an outstanding job for the Hotel. As for the Hot Water, yes there was a issue that was identified at 8am and the hot water was resolved by noon. I do apologize that no one was at the front desk at check out, however all staff were working on the hot water issue as a team. Good Luck and Best Travels....

Thank you for your recent stay with us. As a VIP Expedia Member, we offer a bottle of wine or a room upgrade, not a bottle of champagne. lol We did offer both VIP perks at check in and you decided to refuse the offer. Best Travels and Good Luck.
