Super Lage, direkt an der Promenade. Leckeres englisches Frühstück. Nur abends zig im Zimmer Geruch nach indischen Essen rein. Und beim Frühstück waren sehr viele Mitarbeiter die bei der Anmeldung zum Frühstück standen. Das fand ich unangenehm, da man sich beobachtet fühlte.

Quiet and nice Hotel
the experience was special, I didn't know or have I realized before my stay that this is a hotel much for elderly persons, the stay was like in a elderly and disabled home. but do me unterstand correctly, I liked it, it was nice quiet.

I enjoyed the whole experience. The hotel was clean and well run. The staff were polite and eager to please. Dining was enjoyable and the food delicious.

We have stayed at St George’s hotel many times but feel its previously high standards are slipping. At breakfast there was six dirty bowls and two dirty bowls the next morning. We waited 25 minutes for our cooked breakfast and the rolls on the first morning were rock hard. The evening meal choice was not great and expensive so we ate out both nights. Our bathroom tiled floor needed re grouting and had a badly cracked tile in, also the hair and body shampoo hadn’t been refilled which was annoying when you find out whilst in the shower! The staff are extremely polite and corrected things when told but we feel as a 4 star hotel it needs some attention,

Room nicely fitted out, unfortunately to the rear of the hotel so had a poor outlook, however being also at the top floor it was very peaceful, breakfast was excellent as was afternoon snacks, 9 out of 10 overall

Position was amazing. We stayed in the rooftops which were an excellent choice. Only thing missing to say is that this room comes with complimentary parking which if you book Direct they will tell you. None of the other booking sites do. Parking on site is important given how busy the town is.

Ideal location and beautiful bedroom with everything you need. Nice terrace overlooking the piee. Parking is very limited. Easy check-in. Very friendly staff and nice choice of breakfast. Will definitely be staying again.

Location was perfect for us and unlike some long established "Grand" hotels, St Georges still feels a bit special. Room was comfortable if a tad smaller than we perhaps expected (room 400), and breakfast excellent. We were struck by how many staff were working and felt very welcome and well looked after. Highly recommended overall. Only downsides :-) On checking in we felt a bit like we were second class folk as the receptionist made a point of saying "as you booked via Expedia you can't charge things to your room as we don't have a card on file" would of been happy to give card details, but wasn't asked. Secondly, for us, part of the reason for booking St Georges was they have 9x EV charge points in their carpark. On getting in touch with the Hotel a week or so before arrival, I was told that due to demand these couldn't be reserved. Top tip, the station car park has about 40x 7kw chargers, £2.50 for 12hrs parking, and currently £0.34/kw to charge. <10min walk to the hotel. However, a great stay overall, would stay again.
