Angenehmer Aufenthalt in Twickenham
Kleines, sympathisches Hotel im schönen Twickenham, im Südwesten von London. Sehr angehnemer Aufenthalt. Schöne Zimmer mit tollem Badezimmer. Gutes Frühstück inklusive. Ich bevorzuge die ländliche Gegend um Twickenham gegenüber dem hektischen treiben in Central London. Komme gerne wieder!

Tolles Hotel mit Pub
Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Themse. Aus unserem Zimmer konnten wir direkt darauf schauen. In der Nähe ist das Teddington Lock - eine Schleuse in der Themse bis zu der die Themse Ebbe und Flut unterliegt. Teilweise mehrere Meter Tidenhub sind möglich. Es gibt einige Pubs in der Nähe, die einen Eingang für Ebbe und einen für Flut haben, da die Ufer teilweise überfluten. Zum Hotel unten im Gebäude ist ein Youngs Pub mit tollem Wintergarten. Das Bett war himmlisch – wir wollten gar nicht aufstehen….Aber das leckere Frühstück hat dann doch motiviert. Absoluter Tip

When you enter the Hotel door, you already feel like at home. There is a warm and friendly atmosphere within the whole property. Rooms are modern and equipped with many facilities to make your stay comfortable.

Quintessential English with Thames views
Not my first visit. I keep returning so obviously I like it here. Everything is great but best are the staff. I brought friends here for dinner and we were all very happy with the menu and food. I gave all 5 stars except one. The first night it was cold. I couldnt find the comfort rug but in the morning i was told they were removed during COVID. That night i found an extra duvet and my air con set to 22. Thats the proactive staff. This is one of the few even 4 and 5 star hotels that sctually has a well stacked minibsr plus nespresso coffee snd a free jar of homemade (restaurant) shortbread.

Everything was just wonderful! Coming back August!
What a delightful experience! The ambience of the pub was wonderful. The service was exceptional from front desk to cleaners. Alexander Pope review When you travel to an area for the first time, it’s often hard to choose a hotel just from searching online and reading reviews. But, I chose the Alexander Pope Hotel by carefully reading reviews and was especially mindful of when they were written. So many negative reviews were generated during the pandemic, so I tried to look for 2023 reviews. I was so impressed with the Alexander Pope Hotel! The staff was so gracious. They were always attentive and even spread themselves out to cover all aspects of running the hotel smoothly. I loved my room, the bathroom was clean and updated, the bed was comfy and the most special treat was the homemade shortbread biscuits left each day to enjoy with my Nespresso coffee. My sister recently moved to Twickenham, so with this lovely hotel just over a mile from her flat, it will be a perfect place for guests to stay. The pub/restaurant was warm and inviting and a busy locals place as well. I’m hoping to make another visit in the future and definitely will stay again. Now, if I could get their recipe for their most delicious lemon garlic houmous, I would love to recreate it at home. 😉♥️

Staff helpful when TV was not working and bin had not been emptied from previous guests. Was in a twin room, that had a locked interconnecting door. Unfortunately the sound proofing was awful, we could hear our neighbour coughing and on the toilet! We spent the week whispering when back in the room and very paranoid! Despite the lovely photos, the finishes were not great…stains on the walls, paint on radiators and cracked toilet bowl that had obviously been there for some time. Obviously a pub, but not sure if you are aware there is a child in the room leaving a copious amount of alcohol in the mini bar? However, I could not fault the staff who are friendly, professional and prompt.

Thumbs up for Alexander Pope
Great stay but 2nd night the room above 25 appeared to have no carpets and noise of heels going backwards and forwards woke both of us up a lot.!!!! Also hotel should provide information on buses etc for sights and shows in vicinity.We had horrendous times getting to flower show and then back to visit Hampton Court which spoilt or trip.Hotel was very enjoyable food great.

We only stayed for one night arriving late after Wimbledon tennis but we were really tired and our room was so welcoming and comfortable. We had a great night’s sleep and enjoyed a delicious omelette for breakfast. The car park was free and very convenient. Would definitely stay again if lucky in Wimbledon’s ballot next year!

Royal Ascot Ladies day trip.

Great location. Easy walk to train station and Twickenham stadium. Lots of parking, good menu and bar. Nice outdoor seating area. Lots of nearby food and drink options.

The reception staff were exceedingly helpful. Especially the young man who helped us with alternate travel arrangements when the rail line was closed for maintenance and our train cancelled. Thank you!
