Leicht erreichbar vom KingsCross, aber ohne den Service, den der sehr professionelle Empfang versprach. Klösterliches Ambiente, ohne TV, nachts sehr unruhig auf dem Flur. No go: Die Duschen sind sehr, sehr schmutzig, voller Haare im Ablauf.....eklig

Gut war die Lage und das Frühstück (man zahlt was man nimmt und es ist sehr günstig!). Mein Zimmer war sehr bescheiden! Klein, billige Möbel, kleines Badezimmer nur mit einem Duschvorhang. Sehr erbost war ich, als ich in der ersten Nacht spät abends noch duschen wollte. Kein Tropfen Wasser! Am nächsten Tag war die Graduationsfeier meines Sohnes und ich musste vorher noch zweimal reklamieren, dass baldmöglichst ein Spengler kommt. Der kam, konnte es reparieren, machte natürlich alles ziemlich schmutzig, versprach jemanden zum reinigen zu schicken, doch niemand kam! Wiederum musste ich mehrmals nachhacken. Da es im Zimmer unter dem Dach unerträglich heiss war bat ich um einen Ventilator. Auch da musste ich zweimal nachfragen. Das Rezeptionspersonal war zwar nicht unfreundlich aber auch nicht sehr motiviert. Für mich ist eine Reinigung und Wäschewechsel nur alle 7 Tage eindeutig zu wenig! So günstig ist die Unterkunft ja auch nicht!

Studentenbudenatmosphäre. Aber sehr schön im ehemaligen Collegeambiente. Zentrum schnell erreichbar. Gerne wieder.

Expensive and disappointing
Bathroom and bed clean but room not vacuumed and stains on carpet, curtains didn’t close across the windows. No lift so I had to walk up four floors (8 flights of steps) and then without any signage I had to find my way across a roof terrace to get to my room - no help or directions provided. No telephone in the room. Breakfast poor as no gluten free toast, cereal or porridge. Everything charged individually for example £1.50 for a few mushrooms! Room large and got warm when I put radiators on. Bed was comfortable but too small if there had been two of us. Very expensive - really not a hotel experience

Erinomainen valinta! Täällä kansainvälisten opiskelijoiden asuntolassa pelataan pingistä, nuorilla juttu luistaa ja lasillinen Jamesonia maksaa baarissa 2,50 puntaa. Täällä ehkä Lontoon paras hinta-laatu-suhde majoitukseen. Erinomainen ja rauhallinen sijainti kivan puiston varrella lähellä King’s Crossia. Erittäin siisti, tilava huone, kaunis puulattia, iso ikkuna ja toimiva kylppäri … todella mukava … siis, jos ei tarvitse mitään ihmeellisiä kotkotuksia.

The booking as advertised looked great - nice, older student type lodging, so we expected the room to be spare, but clean. None of the above. The room was in the basement of the college, and my wife joked when they told us about the stairs that they're probably keeping us like Harry Potter when he was at the Dursleys. It literally was right at the bottom and was entered by a door that appeared to be a service closet. The space was large - two bedrooms (which was very handy as circumstances will show) and came with a bathroom, living room and kitchen. The main bedroom was from the first moment clearly mouldy. A local college was forced to remediate a whole wing of their student housing because of this very issue because of the potential health problems it raises. We were therefore forced to close that room off and use the second room which only had a bed designed for one person. We were therefore forced to squeeze in to a bed and hope that neither of us fell out. The living room had a chair, but no sofa, and so that wasn't an option. The bathroom was great, until we discovered there was a plumbing issue with the sink. It basically leaked all of the draining water into the cupboard below and seeped onto the floor. It was also coming away from the wall. We did talk to reception and their response was "sorry". It was already late in the evening and we had two options: stay or find another place. We reluctantly stayed.

Basic economical accommodation in good location
I stayed for two nights. It was fine, but I'd mistakenly expected a kettle in the room and a TV - my fault for not checking the details properly. I couldn't even find a fork to eat the food I'd bought at the supermarket. So it is very basic. The room was big though. Loads of cupboard space if you come with luggage and even a fridge. Big comfy bed and towels also provided. The shared bathroom was extremely clean, no complaints at all, but there were some impressive cobwebs in the curtains, which I therefore didn't dare close!

Conveniently located student-hall rooms that formed a safe, secure, welcoming base for my visit to London. Trains are easily walkable from here to link you with the rest of everything that London has to offer. Room was immaculately presented - would have been nice to have extra towels, but definitely not a problem for the price! Fridge was roomy enough to store plenty of food - and an electric kettle and toaster are available in the buttery (kitchen) down the hall. Super friendly and helpful staff are on the front desk 24hrs. Will stay again next year. ☺️

This was my second time at Goodenough College, and quite frankly I *much prefer* it to most similarly priced hotels. The room was large and clean, with a pleasant view of the quad, which is usually very quiet. The shared bathroom wasn't a problem (I was alone there literally every time I used it). GC is located within walking distance of St Pancras, which I found very convenient. The location (Holborn/Bloomsbury) is just right for someone with an interest in the London cultural scene. I definitely recommend this place.

So it’s super cheap (for London), the rooms are big and spotlessly clean but don’t expect to get much sleep with students hanging out in the street talking and drinking to well beyond 3am.

If money is tight and you don’t care if you sleep.
Lovely setting. I think a room with no fan air conditioning and requiring a window to be left open all night, but with no passable air makes for an uncomfortable night. Added to which all bathrooms on my floor were out of order, requiring stairs to visit. A single pillow and a rickety bed - all resulted in a terrible night’s sleep. Never again.

7泊ほど利用しました。学生がたくさん生活していることと、部屋の窓が中庭に面しているので、夕飯帯の時間・週末の騒音は避けられませんでした。自分はあまり気になりませんでしたがある程度了承の上、宿泊することを勧めます。ショートステイでも洗濯機は利用可能ですが、ロンドンのランドリー用のアプリを使うので利用するまでに少し時間がかかりました。建物の地下にあるのですが経路が少し複雑なので、受付や滞在している方に聞いてみるのがいいと思います。

Good place with a good price. There are warnings about phones being stolen in the area and such, so the "area around the property" rating is low. I did not feel unsafe or believe it to be a bad area, but the signs exist for a reason I suspect.
