I’ve booked with Expedia for 15+ years, and I’m not a hotel snob by any means, but this hotel is absolutely filthy. Trash overflowing in the hallways, toothpaste on the mirrors in the bathroom, tub disgusting, pistachio shells on the carpets, no proper air conditioning, bedding stained (hope it was a stain!) and the carpets were so dirty I wouldn’t take off my shoes. For a chain that’s usually great, you can tell this franchise location is poorly ran to say the least.
I immediately called Expedia - will spare you the details but I ended up losing two nights hotel, as they basically said they were at the mercy of the hotel. There are too many travel sites to settle for this type of service, especially considering this was the first time I needed help after being a customer for so many years.
Disappointing experience overall. But if you take anything away, spend the extra $30 a night and go to the lovely La Quinta next door.
