Amazing Accommodations!

My two best friends and I stayed 5 days/4 nights in Lucca for a 30 year Girls’ Trip Reunion! We absolutely loved the apartment! The location was perfectly situated right inside the walls and close to parking, restaurants, shops, and bike rentals! The ground floor apartment was so convenient and luxurious! The photos online do not even do it justice. The living and dining room have been completely redone with new furniture upgrades which made it appear more sleek and bright. In addition, the online photos showed two bedrooms with 3 beds (one queen in one bedroom and two twins in the other.) Since there were three of us, we did expect that we all had our own bed. However, upon arrival we found that the bedrooms had also changed a bit and each only offered a queen, which meant that two of us would have to share a bed. Luckily, we didn’t care and made the adjustment but that may not be possible for some and it is worth mentioning. Being three women in our 50s, we loved each having our own bathrooms! The kitchen was well stocked with anything needed for cooking/serving. The outdoor patio off of the kitchen was a lovely bonus. We spent an entire day exploring Lucca and rented bikes to ride the perimeter a top the city walls -which is a MUST! We loved our leisurely strolls to cafes and dinner spots. We also enjoyed using Lucca as our hub for day trips to Pisa, Florence and Cinque Terra. It was a trip for the memory books and Casa Francesca was the perfect accommodation!

Spacious lodging with a lovely patio

Accommodations were very spacious for two couples. Nice kitchen. Large living room Large dining room. We loved having an outdoor patio. It has a nice location, with easy access to the the city wall and a short walk from the tourist attractions in town. At the same time, it was a little bit off the beaten track. We didn't feel like we were in the middle of the most "touristy" part of town.

Lucca stay

Wonderful apartment. Quiet, and lovely back patio. Very clean and well furnished. Right below the wall for easy access. Bike rental just around the corner. Easy walk to many recommended restaurants. Should let guests know via website that communication via WhatsApp is the best way to communicate with property management and not texting. Site manager was there to meet us when we arrived with informative check in. Would highly recommend this apartment and the management company.

Delightful Ground Floor Apartment with Garden

Beautifully decorated and laid out spacious apartment (the decor has been updated since the photos). Amazing kitchen and outdoor space next to the wall and Porto Santa Maria for easy access for our morning runs and to explore the surrounding area. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing stay at a gem of a location

We had an amazing stay in this lovely home in Lucca. We found the air conditioners and washer/dryer especially useful during our stay. The owner (Sonya) was very responsive to our inquires and quite helpful with a well developed booklet of information on the property for our stay. Lucca is a gem.

Wonderful Apartment/Great Location

The apartment is very comfortable and spacious. My girl friend and I enjoyed the entire apartment and loved the kitchen as we were able to purchase good foods very close by and have some meals in the apartment. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and the shopping is over the top! Lucca is a great place to stay, plan your tours and enjoy the lovely sites, food and shopping. The private tour company (TAU Touring) Mrs. Sonia recommended was great and recommended if you don't want to do a group tour. I highly recommend this property for a wonderful experience in Italy.

Great apartment for Lucca exploration

My wife and I reserved this apartment for a stay with 2 other adults but ended up on our own. Sonia met us as planned and was responsive and helpful throughout the process from booking to end. The apartment combines traditional Italian style with modern amenities. Air Conditioning, 3 full completely new bathrooms, a modern kitchen, good internet, and two comfortable bedrooms. The location is really good. Though on the Northeastern edge of the city within the wall, the rest of Lucca by foot is, at most, 20 minutes. We walked from the apartment to the train station in 18 minutes. A bike rental shop is within 100 yards and is located adjacent to the wall with easy access for terrific & easy rides around the top! We did this several times. Markets, coffee shops and restaurants are very convenient. The only recommendation that I have is to make certain Sonia or one of her staff demonstrate how to operate the hot water heater. Utilities are at a premium in Italy and I suppose that it doesn't operate continually like here in the U.S. We awoke to cold water on the last day of our stay with a 3 hour drive ahead of us. Not a big deal, but I now wish that I had thought of that question. Bottom line - great apartment, excellent host and delightful surroundings. We would definetly consider staying there again, but we understand that Sonia has a good number of other sites around the city, so given her level of professionalism, we would feel comfortable with any she represented. Restaurant recommendation: Trattoria Canuleia - best meal of 2 week trip! Winery recoomendation: Fattoria Del Teso Srl Bar recommendation: La Cantina di Lucca

Magical, Enchanting and Exquisite Lucca. Casa Francesca is WONDERFUL.

Our holiday in Lucca was one of the very best vacations ever. Our accommodation was excellent. Our Lucca home was spotlessly clean, beautifully fitted with exceptionally furniture, extremely comfortable beds, and the best location in town. We were treated to an amazing dining room, living room and little private garden where conversation, wine and amazing local food were continuously enjoyed. The location of the apartment is excellent. Easy and interesting walks to all the highlights Lucca has to offer and steps away from the rampart that surrounds the city. Local stores were just down the street, in both directions, and the proprietors could not have been more friendly, accommodating and the food selection was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this apartment. Mrs Sonia and her staff were exceptionally friendly and courteous. One word of warning however, don't spend too much time in the amazing little private garden at the back, it becomes completely addictive. Thanks again for a wonderful holiday. We would love to return.

Perfecto!

Beautifully appointed, great location

What a fabulous place to stay! We are three seniors who spent 4 nights at this property. This is a luxurious townhouse on one level with 2 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, large living room, large dining room, and large bright kitchen overlooking a delightful garden/patio. The high ceilings add to the spaciousness of the interior spaces and the lighting is very warm and welcoming. It was SO convenient to all within the walls yet right across from the wall where there is a great promenade all around the city used by young, old, walkers and cyclists. You will need to provide your own soaps/shampoos/paper towels, etc. but there is a nice convenience store with fresh produce and deli at the end of the block (open 8 to 8) by a piazza with large church, several restaurants and espresso/patisserie shop. And from there you are in the thick of Lucca near the charming Antifeatro (amphitheatre) and more retail shops and restaurants than you can think of. The winding pedestrian walkways through the rest of the walled city lead to other piazzas, historical churches, Puccini's birthplace and museum, etc. Lucca is a charming city and so comfortable and welcoming to all. It was the perfect place to wind down our two weeks of traveling through Italy.

Fabulous apartment conveniently located inside the walls of Lucca

Beautifully appointed two bedroom apartment with a living room, dining room, spacious kitchen and private patio. It worked well for two couples. Both bedrooms had private baths, plus an additional bathroom for guests. It was so convenient to walk out the door and explore the town of Lucca. No need for a car while staying there. Grocery stores were a couple blocks away in either direction. We would definitely recommend this apartment.

Beautiful apartment in the heart of Lucca

Even though the reviews of this apartment were positive, I think like most people we had reservations on how things really are - but we should not have had any doubts. This is a beautiful apartment so well equipped and in such a good position to the stunning town of Lucca. The photos are a true representation of the style & quality of the apartment, we would certainly recommend it and would have no hesitation to staying there again, and thank you Mrs Sonia for a friendly welcoming greeting.
