Astonishing Beauty
The house was bright, clean, and comfortable. Our hosts and others living on the property were warm and welcoming. Everyone were tireless about making sure we had everything we needed. And the beauty of the place was astonishing. We had easy access to lots of wonderful places in the area -- but our favorite was a hidden beach along the Colorado River that we visited almost every day. We'll be back! <3 <3 <3

Exactly what we wanted

Comfortable accommodations right in the vermillion cliffs
Stayed 2 nights to hike and canoe in the lees ferry/Page area. Place was close to lees ferry and comfortable. We cooked dinner both nights we were there and found the kitchen had what we needed. It’s a beautiful area and so it’s great to have a place to stay like this so you can enjoy it regardless of the weather.

Great option for visiting Marble Canyon and surrounding sites
Nice home in a secluded area with a few neighbors and lodge. We rented for two nights and kayaked on the Colorado through the local company-highly recommended! The home actually is an older double-wide trailer remodeled. Plenty of room for a family. However, it could use a deep cleaning (surface cleaning was good), supply inventory check and organization, and maintenance review (ice machine not working, but free ice at the nearby lodge, dryer not working well, dust behind corners and cobwebs, etc). Beds were comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Excellent communication with property management.

Perfect spot
We stayed 2 nights here and also kayaked Horseshoe Bend with Kayak the Colorado. Ours was a party of 4. Two adults and two teenage boys. The location was convenient to our kayaking adventure. The kayaking was awesome as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. I recommend bringing groceries and food supplies with you as this location is remote and the nearest full grocery store is about a 40 minute drive. Thank you for an awesome experience!

Absolutely perfect location for adventures
We had a marvelous time staying here! The property was the perfect size for 4 adults. While the location is fairly remote, there are still plenty of adventures to be had in a reasonable distance. We were able to visit 4 national parks during our stay. The forewarning of the low water pressure is true, but knowing about it ahead of time made it a non-issue. The sunrises were absolutely breathtaking and the stars at night were just incredible. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay.

Perfect spot
The Hopi House was perfect for our two nights there and our day of kayaking with Kayak the Colorado. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked with supplies (and some coffee!). The area is slightly remote with not a lot of amenities near by, but that was perfect for us because we came to enjoy the outdoors and the environment. It was rich in community as the house is part of a community of employees and others. We enjoyed the casual evenings in the tavern which was also kid-friendly. Everyone was friendly and helpful and welcoming.

This place is in the middle of nowhere, which is exactly what we were looking for. The cabin was super simple and adorable. It has everything you need, just bring some groceries along and you don’t need to do anything but relax with nature! The water pressure is very low but you’re warned about that.

Real Nice.
This is a clean and fully-stocked property. The owners are non-invasive, but welcoming and helpful. Good, clean beds and linens, towels and wash cloths, good hear for the chilly weather. This is a great base camp for adventures to some of America’s most stunning landscapes. This is the first trip we have taken to this area, so we were mostly sightseeing and exploring. But if fishing and hiking are on your agenda, this is a terrific central location. If you are looking for an aesthetic “yuppie” experience, you are not going to get it here. This is an unpretentious place with unpretentious people. Because it is basically in the middle of the Southwestern desert, and far from any city or town of size, water is scarce. So, where the water is there are clusters of houses, RV’s and mobile homes in basically tight encampments. Any lodges or restaurants in this part of the world will be part of these communities. You may find it a little crowded if you have rented this place to be there around the clock. No TV to sit around and watch while the world passes you by. Too much to see and do than to hang out. Just take a look from the back of the house and you will see the Vermillion Cliffs, which rivals the Grand Canyon in beauty. Five minutes away is Glen Canyon, which is absolutely spectacular. This is a place I will return to, and recommend to anyone else.

A magnificent place to visit.
We have been visiting this area for many years. It is one of the most beautiful places in the southwest. The new owners have done a wonderful job of upgrading the property. Although we've stayed at the rooms in the lodge and in the Log Cabin this was our first stay in the Hopi House. We loved it, clean, modern, beautiful art work, just wonderful. My advice is to stay at the Lees Ferry Lodge for more than one night and use it as a base to explore a truly magnificent region.

Incredible location, great hosts
Great accommodations with spectacular views. The kayak launch was just a few miles away and provided an incredible experience on the Colorado. 2-hour drives to the North and South Rims of the Grand Canyon. I highly recommend this property and look forward to coming back again.

The location was good and the view was spectacular. The hostess was very nice. Until a solution is found the listing should read 2 bedroom 1 bath as the water pressure in one bath was so poor that the toilet doesn't flush well if at all and the shower/sink pressure was also very weak. The kitchen and other bath had better but not quite adequate pressure. Also the kitchen cabinet knobs and door handles were sticky. House just needs some maintenance updates.

Great little cabin in Marble Canyon
We stayed 6 nights. 2 hours to the South Rim, 1.25 to the North Rim. Kayak the Colorado trip was a definite highlight. We brought a cooler and a case of water that we refilled often. The host was quick to answer questions and provide extra linens.

Nice for sight seeing
No air, internet, and there isn’t 1 tv. We had fun playing games and did enjoy it. It’s a nice place for the area. The pictures made it look secluded but it’s not. Maybe I should have researched more. Overall good experience.

Hi Tim! Thank you for taking the time to review our home! We try to make it clear in our listing that we do not have in-house TVs or WIFI. We encourage our guests to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area and the amazing starry skies at night and to reconnect with one another without the distraction of a TV. For those who choose to stay connected, we do have WIFI available in and around our tavern. I'm happy to hear that you ended up having fun! I am concerned about your comment regarding no air. We have a large evaporation cooler in the main living area that is powerful enough to cool the entire house as well as a new window unit A/C in the master bedroom. As noted on our "Welcome" sheet, evaporation coolers work best if you crack open windows to pull cool air throughout the house. I wish we had the opportunity to address the A/C while you were here. Thank you again for staying with us! We really appreciate you and wish you the best!

Vermillion Cliffs Home
This is a comfortable home at the base of the Vermillion Cliffs. It was quiet and the views of the cliffs were beautiful. This home is located among other dwellings. There is a lodge, a kayak company and what appeared to be a few personal residences. Unfortunately the view from the front porch was a large burn pile. There was a lot of trash, cardboard boxes, miscellaneous wood and an old piano. For the price I expected something better.

Enjoyed our weekend getaway at the Hopi house.
Janet returned my email and answered my questions quickly. The Hopi house was clean, had everything we needed, with beautiful views of the Vermillion Cliffs. The water pressure is a bit low but I understand it is a communal well coming from a nearby spring. The nearest WalMart is a 40 minute drive to Page, so go for supplies and food stuff on your way there. We spent a day kayaking down horseshoe bend with "Kayak the Colorado" which is just up the road at Lees Ferry and had an amazing time with beautiful views of the canyon! We were told there are trails right off the property into the Vermillion Cliffs if you like hiking. Enjoyed our stay and would love to go back for a longer stay.

Best Vacation Yet
Wow. The Hopi house offered more than we expected from our stay. It was clean and had everything we needed and more. What took the property to the next level was the location and the friendliness of the community. The house backs up to the Vermillion Cliffs, the perfect backdrop! The neighbor gave us some insider information on trails and walking paths that were so much fun. Everything we needed was within a short drive away. Lee’s Ferry is just up the road and offers many activities and trails. I would 100% recommend booking with Kayak the Colorado, it was our favorite part of our stay. Beautiful/private setting, nice people, close to town, and just an overall great experience!

Really enjoyed our stay very roomy.
Definately will be back at some point in the future. One little observation, in the bigger bedroom, a handicapped accessible shower. Water pressure in this room is very slow, but dealt with it being a guy. As well kitchen faucet water was very slow. Understand water is precious in this area, and under new management of property. I assume at some point later this will be addressed. Like a pressure system at house to boost water presssure. But overall really enjoyed the house and conformt of having a home to come too. Location Makes Up For Some Flaws
This was hands down the most breathtaking location we've ever stayed at. Having said that, be aware that this property is part of the Lee's Ferry Lodge complex and there is very little privacy. There were numerous vehicles and boats parked throughout the premises and there was a communal fire pit 50 feet from our front porch, where property debris was burned from morning until night both days we were there. The unit itself was spacious and clean. The grounds immediately surrounding the house, however, were strewn with cans and other random items. The location can't be beat and the price was fair but you may want to take a look at the Google satellite view of Lee's Ferry Lodge and surroundings before deciding if this property is for you.

Comfortable great value rental near 89A close to Lees Ferry!
Clean. Has everything you need and as a 2BR/2BA home with full kitchen and LR is a great base for exploring Lees Ferry, Vermilion Cliffs, and North Rim of GCNP. Kayaking with Kayak the Colorado business on site was a super experience. The star fields are beautiful here and this simple and clean property served our needs. The only negative is the typical multiple sheds and ongoing building materials storage nearby, but that is pretty standard in this part of AZ and certainly did not diminish our experience! Due to the high demand for these properties we also stayed at the log house across the way in this little community. . . see our review of that property too.

Magical Place
The Hopi House at Lee’s Ferry Lodge was perfect. The house has big rooms and a kitchen well stocked with supplies. My group was there after a Glen Canyon paddle and we made dinner and enjoyed a lovely night under the stars. In the morning the sun rising against the beautiful Vermillion Cliffs was the perfect place for coffee and breakfast. The house was very clean and Janet, the property owner, was extremely helpful. Thank you! I will definitely be back.
