Das besondere an diesem Riad ist nicht nur die zentrale Lage, es bietet zugleich eine Ruheoase inmitten des Trubels von Marrakech. Es ist wunderschön eingerichtet mit ganz viel Liebe in jedem Detail. Laurent, der Inhaber, gibt einem jederzeit das Gefühl, dass es für ihn nichts wichtigeres gibt als seinen Gästen den Aufenthalt im Riad und zugleich in Marrakesch so schön wie nur irgend möglich zu gestalten. Wir bedanken uns hiermit nochmals für das hervorragende Frühstück, die vielen hilfreichen Informationen und die wundervolle Zeit im Riad Al Badia.

Feels like home
If you wan't to feel welcome and home - book at Riad Al Badia. Laurent, the host and his team are so warm and welcoming - there is no other way than to enjoy the stay. The riad is a place of relaxation and comfort to come to after a day in the lovely but still hectical city of Marrakech. We hardly ever write reviews, but we just had to recommend that place! The rooms are lovely, it is located in the Medina area and just a few minutes walk to the Jemma al Fna. The palaces are just arround the corner. We will definitly stay here again if we visit Marrakech again. Raphaela & Gerald

Orientalischer Riad mitten in der Altstadt. Der Besitzer quatscht einem zu lange voll, ist sonst ok. Die Angestellten sind sehr nett. Das Ambiente ist der Hammer. Der Pool ist eher ein kleiner Innenteich, also nicht zum Baden, aber hübsch anzusehen. Ich würde wieder gehen.

This Riad is something very special! The building itself is very small and pretty but nothing too special. What ist very special are the people! The Host Laurant arranged a driver to pick us up from the airport and brougt us right to the door of the riad. Here we were greeted with some traditional Mint Tee and some sweet snacks. We got a map and Omad asked us what we wanted to do and see and explained to us how to get there. After that we went to our small but very nice room and got redy for the evening. Every time we left our room, somebody was there to greet us and ask us what we are going to do, so they could show us the way if necessary. For some of our excursions we were picked up at a mosque close to the riad. Laurant came with us to the mosque every time to make sure we were at the right place and picked up savely. One time Laurant called a taxi for us and also came with us to the taxi and even negotiated a price with the driver for us. The best food we had on this trip was probably also in this riad. We booked a table the night before. We had dinner on the roofterasse together with two other couples. It was a menu chosen by the chef. It was amazing! Very traditional dishes with some suprises. Laurant even tought us how to propperly eat with our hands. The breakfast was served every day on the roofterasse whenever we woke up. It was a really good breakfast with the most amazing homemade yoghurt I have ever had. Thank you for the wondeful week!

Tolles, sehr sauberes Riad mit top Service
Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt im Riad al Badia. Der Besitzer ist unfassbar hilfsbereit und bemüht, wirklich toll! Das ganze Team ist super! Auch das Frühstück ist toll, sehr lecker, alles selbst gemacht und mehr als man essen kann. Das einzige was uns nicht so gefallen hat ist, dass der "Pool" direkt neben der Rezeption ist und man sich so schon recht unwohl fühlt in Badesachen dort hineinzugehen. Auf der Dachterasse ist zwar eine Dusche aber mir war es zu heiß auch nur für 10 Minuten dort oben zu liegen. Ansonsten wirklich empfehlenswert!

Ein Märchen aus 1000 und einer Nacht
Das Riad liegt im südlichen Teil der Medina etwas versteckt in einer einfachen und ruhigen Lage. Der Platz "Jemaa El Fna" ist zu Fuß in 20 Minuten erreichbar. Auf dem Wege dorthin findet man viele Händler und Restaurants. Das Riad selbst ist wunderschön restauriert, bittet einen kleinen Pool und eine Dachterrasse, ist ein Ort der Ruhe und Erholung. Der Besitzer kümmert sich persönlich, rührend um das Wohl seiner Gäste, die in den 4 Zimmern des Riads untergebracht sind.

A fantastic little gem of a hotel
This tiny Riadh, tucked behind the Badia castle walls, is an oasis of calm and contentment in a very busy and chaotic city. Clean and attractive with delightful personnel and a superb kitchen producing real Maroccan delicacies, this hotel cannot be beaten for service, location or tranquillity.

Traumhaft!
Ein schönes, kleines Riad (6 Zimmer) am Rande der Medina. Daher sehr ruhig aber dennoch fussläufig alles zu erreichen. Von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise fühlten wir uns umhegt und umsorgt. Ein Hideaway in der quirligen Medina von Marrakesc
Ein wunderschönes kleines Riad, in guter Lage in der aufregenden Medina von Marrakesch. Laurent mit seinem Team schaffen eine sehr freundliche Atmosphäre in einem schönen Ambiente. Zu Besuch bei Freunden, ist die passende Beschreibung unser Zeit im Riad. Die Junior Suite, unser Zimmer für eine Woche, ist ruhig, sehr schön eingerichtet und sauber, wie auch das gesamte Riad. Samira, die gute Seele der Küche, verwöhnte uns jeden Morgen mit einem leckeren und reichhaltigen Frühstück. Auch ein Dinner mit marokkanischen Spezialitäten, auf der Terrasse über den Dächern von Marrakesch, war ein besonderes Erlebnis. Die Tipps von Laurent und Mohamed ermöglichten uns Marrakesch, auch abseits der üblichen Plätze und Wege, kennenzulernen. Langweilig wurde es uns nie, wir hätten noch etwas mehr Zeit gebrauchen können. Wie werden wiederkommen, Marrakesch ist es wert. Rosi & Peter, Germany

beautiful city hotel
My partner and I stayed at this beautiful city Riad for a week in beginning of november 2014. We had a great relaxing time and really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was outstanding - "breakfast is ready whenever you are ready" - this was told us, when we asked for the breakfast time. When possible we had breakfast on the roof terrace. (in Nov rain season starts) Laurent the hotel manager gave us an instruction and information about the city, the locals, the must see places and souks when we arrived (we had Laurent organized a pick up, which we paid through credit card on our last day), and walked with us to a place near the hotel to show us the way to the Djemaa el Fna and the different directions. He also always greeted us when he was around when we came back from the city. Even when he was busy with check ins/check outs he took a minute or two to ask about our experience, but he was never pushy/intrusive. The hotel is 24hours occupied, so we never had to take the hotel key with us. For the second evening we ordered a beautiful and tasty Tajine dinner at the Riad, cooked by outstanding Chef Samira. I do recommend ear plugs. Sometimes guests arrive late, and our room was next to reception and dinner area. On our first night on arrival there was a traditional children festival and it was very loud outside the Riad. Some of the windows face the the riad streets. Nevertheless I absolutely recommend the Riad with this excellent (french) Manager Laurent and his staff.

Meine Oase
Es war ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt im Riad Al Badia. Eine kleine Oase....ein Ort wo man die Hektik von Marrakesch entfliehen konnte. Ein Stück Paradies!! Das Personal war zuvorkommend, Aufmerksam und sehr Hilfsbereit. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und das Essen war Ausgezeichnet. Das Zimmer waren ein wenig klein, aber sauber und gepflegt und da ich alleine gereist bin hatte ich genügend Platz. Bei meinem nächsten Aufenthalt in Marrakesch werde ich mir bestimmt wieder dieses Riad aussuchen. Vielen Danke an das Hotelpersonal

Ruhiges und trotzdem zentrales Riad.
Toller Service. Sehr nettes Personal, was Alles möglich macht. Zu Fuß zum Hauptplatz Djeema al Fna in knapp 15 Minuten. Deshalb ruhig und erholsam mit Dachtetasse und umwerfendem Blick auf den Hohen Atlas. Perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Ale Ziele in Marrakesch.

Riad mit Charme
Es ist ein kleines, sehr nettes und sauberes Riad. Die Küche ist sensationell, man sollte unbedingt auch mal abends auf der Dachterrasse essen. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam, man bekommt immer Tipps und Hilfe. Das Sympathische ist, dass es eben keine perfekte große Hotelanlage ist, sondern ein persönliches, mit Charme geführtes Riad. Sauberkeit und Zimmerkomfort sind sehr gut, es gibt absolut nichts zu beanstanden.

Eine gute Zeit in Marrakesch
Wir wurden herzlich empfangen, bestens informiert und gut versorgt. Bis auf ein kleines Geruchsproblem in der Toilette haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und waren glücklich über die Wahl unseres Riads. Der Service ist vorbildlich und das Bemühen des Personals um die Zufriedenheit der Gäste beispielhaft. Wer einen persönlichen Kontakt schätzt, ist hier gut aufgehoben.

This was a lovely hotel with lovely staff. The location was an easy walk to almost everywhere worth seeing in Marakesh, plus the hotel provides quality excursions for reasonable prices. For the price we paid I could not fault our stay.

We received a very warm welcome from Youssef and he gave us lots of advice that we found useful in navigating the area. In addition Abdul provided useful advice with restaurants and day trips. We also had a lovely meal prepared for us by Latifa. It was definitely the most delicious meal that we had whilst in Marrakech. We were both impressed with the cleanliness of the property.

The staff were amazing, and there's clearly so much thought in everything they've done. the decor was calming and like something out of a Zara home lookbook - we were snapping photos for our design scrapbook. I've already recommended Riad Al Badia to my family and we will choose nowhere else on our next trip to Marrakech. 10/10

Felt like a second home. We traveled with a toddler. The staff is very nice and helpfull. Room was cleaned very well and daily. The only point of improvement is the humidity in the room. It felt very high.

An unique experience
This is a very well kept and beautiful traditional riad within walking distance to the main squares and markets. Each of the rooms has the name of a local palace and when you enter, they have the right size, natural light, are super clean and comfy. The breakfast was delicious, the right start for the day. For our last evening, we booked in advance, dinner at the hotel, this was a unique and exquisite experience. Lastly and for us the most important, the staff were very friendly and caring, specially Yousef, who made our stay unique, he gave us great indications and tips, organised excursions to the Atlas and was always available.

Lovely Riad location with very caring staff
Aside from a mix up with the airport transfer when we landed, we had an excellent stay at Riad Al Badia. Youssef and his team were excellent hosts. We received a fantastic service including breakfast each morning and would highly recommend the evening meal at the Riad as well. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking to visit Marrakesh. Great location and value for money.

The staff was super friendly and treated my wife and I like family. They arranged transportation, day trips, a wonderful welcome dinner and scrumptious homemade breakfast every morning. Our room was cleaned daily and it was a great retreat from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. We want to especially thank our wonderful hosts once again for a fantastic time in Marrakech and the surrounding areas. I also would like to thank Kareem who was provided by the Riad as our driver for our day trips. He was an absolute pleasure and made each trip special by going out of his way to have us experience Morocco at its heart.. I don’t believe we could have enjoyed our time without this amazing team. We will definitely be back, if nothing else than to visit our new family from Marrakech!

We booked this property for our first trip to Marrakech based on someone telling us that staying in a Riad was the way to go for first timers. The host maintained communication with us prior to our trip and arranged for us to be picked up from the airport which was convenient. We were picked up in a large comfortable van and brought to the location. We got out and had a walk to the actual property. We were a little taken aback by the location and we’re wary about staying there just because it didn’t look appealing from the street. Once we went in we were greeted by very hospitable ladies with tea. We arrived early and they were able to get us into our room within 30 minutes. Our entire trip they were extremely hospitable and told us how to get around and what to do while staying in Marrakech. I would totally recommend staying here, don’t let the outside fool you. It’s a short walk to the Medina and souks. Plenty of restaurant options close by.

Staff were very good, even though slight issues with language barrier. Property moderately clean but everything feels a touch unloved. Bed was comfortable, had air conditioning. Location was about 20 minutes to the main square. If you require a twin room youll be on top floor which is 34 steps to climb

The staff receive English speaking people for years and so far as I understand we have always been able to communicate with our guest and not just in English, French, Spanish, Arabic and berber. This was a pleasure for the all team to receive you and maybe next time, wherever you stay, if the place is unclean or something is wrong, just let people on site know,they can double check with you and correct it, if this is really unclean. This was my first visit to Marrakesh and I had no idea what to expect. The busy nature of Marrakesh hits you as you get out of the airport. When I arrived at the Riad Al Badia, which is only about 20mins from the airport, it was in a residential neighbourhood. I was not sure what to expect. The moment the door opened, I saw the beaming smile of Youssef, I knew this was going to be a great stay. My hotel room was on the top floor, terrace area. I fell in love with the whole concept of a Riad style place to stay. If I could, I would live in one! The Riad Al Badia is a charming place, very comfortable to stay. Nothing beats the warmth of the staff who were always so pleased to serve you. The location is so well placed for you to explore the souks and the main attraction of Jemma el-Fnna. There is a nice local shop as you make your way to the Riad, which sells water and a few essentials that you may want. The location is safe and convenient. The main thing to keep in mind is that this is a Riad, not a hotel. These are family homes that have been converted for tourists. Breakfast was fantastic. I left full every morning, not needing to eat until much later in the day. At the time of my stay, we had other guests from the USA, UK, France, China and Spain. When I get a chance to revisit Marrakesh, I will be staying here again.

I had a great stay at Riad Al Badia. I only stayed for one night and wish I could have stayed more. Laurent contacted me immediately after I made my booking to welcome me and to offer to arrange transportation and a dinner for my stay. The pickup was fast and efficient and the dinner was wonderful. It was the best meal I’ve had in Morocco so far.

This was a wonderful place to stay. You felt as though you were at a private villa and had your personal staff on hand for anything you wished. Youssef and the ladies were so helpful with every aspect of your stay. From the point you entered, you had hot tea poured and relaxed and enjoyed. You could have dinner prepared and the chef would go to the market and choose fresh vegetables to prepare. The meals were of the most highest of quality. Dinner was tasty and breakfast was very delicious as well. The rooms were quiet and beds super comfortable. The linens and bath towels were so soft and wonderful. Such a wonderful stay

Had the most wonderful stay at the Riad Al Badia. The staff were so helpful and emailed all the information on how to get to the Riad a few days before I arrived and even offered to collect us from the airport. When we arrived we were welcomed with tea before being shown to our room which was very comfortable and clean. The Riad it’s self is such an easy walk from the main market square and will only take you 15mins through the Jewish quarter where there are so many beautiful shops. Also if you wanted to go further out of it right near a small square where loads of taxis can be found. Would highly recommend this Riad and would definitely book again if I ever come back to Marrakesh.

A little gem
This riad is beautiful and so tranquil. My room was clean and very nice, also good value. From the minute I arrived (quite late at night), all the staff were so friendly and helpful and I really felt welcomed and looked after throughout my stay. I was amazed by the breakfast - a huge choice of delicious food all brought to your breakfast table… perfect for setting you up for a day walking round the Medina.
