First, Melissa is HANDS DOWN the best host I have ever interacted with across all booking platforms. Her kindness, responsiveness, and flexibility are completely unmatched. Truly a wonderful human being and I would never hesitate to book another one of her properties.
Now for the property itself - The house and property is every bit as beautiful as advertised. It is incredibly spacious and accommodating with very modern features (multi-zone heating/cooling, heated floors throughout the main home). We had a very large group and we all had plenty of gathering space as well as areas to retreat for breaks from the family.
The outdoor area near the river and the riverfront are amazing. We were there during Thanksgiving, so it was a little too cold to really enjoy the outdoor features, but there was a consensus that it would be fully enjoyed during the summer months! That said, there is a gorgeous firepit near the riverfront pavilion that we all wanted to enjoy, but never got the chance to.
The neighborhood is very quiet and is a great place to unwind and relax.
The only "issue" we faced, per se, was the guest house/cottage. It is clearly in the process of being upgraded and modernized like the main house, but there were a few bugs that found their way into the lower level. Nothing major, and the upstairs room and kitchen were used with zero problems.
Overall, my family and I are hoping to come back very soon! Amazing property!
