„We traveled as a family with grandparents and kids. The pictures don’t do justice to how gorgeous this location is. The place is indeed a retreat with a complete island to yourself. The house is very well equipped to host multiple families or events. It had everything you need to relax, enjoy and the proximity to Rotorua, waterfalls, Hobbiton make this a perfect vacation spot. The hosts( Jenny and Rob) are amazing and available when you need help. We look forward to visiting soon again.“

„Starlight valley was even better then we could imagine. There is not words for its beauty. It was close to lots of great hiking and 20 min to hobbiton. The Host Rachel was the kindest most helpful person and was the savior of our trip after we had some car issues. She was a great example of the kind hearted Kiwi people. We had a short visit on our way to Australia, this was perfectly located for day trips to Rotorua / Te Puia and Hobitton along with a wine day at Waiheke. „Gorgeous house with so much space for a group of 9. With 3 showers and toilets, no queues and such an easy getaway. Pool side party was also great fun. We loved seeing and interacting with the horses. We also hosted a tea party for my family one morning with the owner's permission, which was a huge drawcard seeing as most properties don't allow even quiet gatherings. Fast communication from the owner, overall great place to stay!“
