This property and host were excellent. We came in later at night and we greeted with a string of lights glowing on the porch/deck. We were surprised with ice cream and sodas for floats. You really only need to bring your clothes to this place and your food, everything else in here. We loved the record player, the pool table, and beds were very comfortable. Thank you again for sharing your home with us.

Felt like home from the moment u enter the property! Very clean! Great for a quiet get away. The owners were so accommodating and very sweet! Definitely coming back! So much to do here on the property…kayak or swim in the river, hot tub, outdoor swings, plenty yard to play in, lots of games, pool table….not lacking anything! Awesome hosts!!!

The property could be awesome! There were a few hitches due to some recents flooding but didn’t really affect our stay. The ceiling fans definitely need some work, too noisy to run especially in the master bedroom.

What a unique space! There were so many cool little features in the cabin and on the property. It was freezing cold when we stayed, and we stayed nice and warm inside most of the time. We enjoyed the hot tub as well, it was nice and warm when the temps outside were not. It was so cozy inside, we missed the sunset from the hidden swing we had planned, it would have been the perfect view. Literally the only thing this place doesnt have is a fireplace, but the gane room made up for it! The beds were as comfortable as home, and the cuddle blankets on the couches were very much appreciated. The Christmas decor was a nice touch as well.

We had an excellent stay at Southern Nights. Hosts were very responsive and offered a variety of amenities including a kitchen with all the necessities. Great location on the Bogue Chitto River and a beautiful and cozy spot. Would highly recommend!

Great log cabin with full amenities and lots of activities to spend time with your company. I loved how it felt tucked away from everything and situated in a beautiful piece of land surrounded by trees, and a river close by. Excellent communication with the host. We ll be back again!!

Absolutely Beautiful. Perfect weekend getaway, didn't have to worry about a thing. Could have easily stayed inside and relaxed all weekend, but had so much fun walking the dogs around the property. Fished in the river, kayaked around. 15 minutes away from a state park to do more hiking. It was great.

We had an amazing time and loved this place! It is just as described and the owner was incredibly helpful. The surroundings are beautiful and the house is great! We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds in the morning and using the karaoke machine at night! We had a great time hanging out by the river, as well as in the spa. Everything was great!

Home owners were more than helpful. So many extra special details that were not expected but enjoyed; Root Beer floats, bath robes, spare toothbrush and toothpaste. I could go on and on. Hanging by the river for the day was our favorite!

My family had the most relaxing getaway! Check-in was so easy! Communication with the owners was easy! They responded to any questions I had, even before we arrived and I was planning meals for my family and needed to know if they had a crock pot! The kitchen was perfect for preparing our meals. We enjoyed burgers on the charcoal grill one night. My boys (15, 10, 7) LOVED the loft area with the pool table and many other games! Their fave was the access to the river! We went to the river 3 of the four days we were there (one day my husband and son kayaked up the river and back down!)! It was a little hot for the hot tub but my boys insisted on gettin in every day for a little bit. My husband, teen son and myself got a little bit of “cross country” style running/walking around the edges of the property! We enjoyed quiet mornings on the front porch! We especially enjoyed three full bathrooms! We had several movie nights just relaxing and watching shows together with popcorn and ice cream sundaes/floats. We had WiFi for my husband to work during the days; he used one end of the dining table for a work area. I can’t say enough about how great this time was for our family! It was like staying in a cabin in the mountains (but for us it was only 1.5 hour drive from home; that was nice). Tip: I ordered a Walmart pick up order to get when we entered town but if you need to check in first, it’s only 20-25 mins away so not bad at all!

This location was AMAZING! Before a new school year begins, my family always makes time for a vacation. Now is the moment for everyone to put social media aside and focus on one another. This location was ideal for unplugging. Liz and Jon, the hosts, are fabulous. Their home is warm, inviting, lovely, tidy, fully furnished, and full of amenities. We explored the land on the first day, unwinded in the stream on the second, and had a tubing excursion down the Bogue Chitto River on the third. It was a perfect weekend!! Thanks Again

Cabin in the woods

This stay was great!! The most fully stocked cabin I have been too! It was very clean and neat! We had so much fun on the river fishing and kayaking. Hanging out underneath the house with all the seats and hot tub was awesome! We enjoyed the scenery and the kids had fun playing games and the pool table was also awesome!
