Renter Beware! Property details this is a duplex and ONLY the top portion is rented out. We arrived in town to attend a funeral. After a scary incident with a group telling us to get out of their house, they realized they rented the bottom portion. This group played loud music, yelled, and smoked weed all night long. We could smell the weed in our portion of the house, my daughter is allergic and broke out in hives. We had to call the police to come out to get them to turn the music down. Although the music was turned down, the bass in the music vibrated stuff in the house upstairs. The music was still playing when we checked out in the morning. I continue to message the owner throughout the night stating that none of us can sleep so they were aware of the issue. We only received one and a half hours of sleep. Sockets in both bathrooms, coffee maker, fireplace, front door keypad did not work and was reported. Did not receive check in or check out email. Although host confirmed the group rented the bottom portion, later on they stated they canceled and tried to deny that anybody was even there. No apologies, no offer of any type of refund or assistance. Do not rent. I documented everything, took pictures, and recorded. VRBO said this was unacceptable and issued a refund.
