Most unique,romantic,peaceful vacation ever.

I'll start with the most important. This was a very unique vacation spot. My wife and I have stayed at alot of different places. We are always looking for something different. We have never stayed on the side of a cliff before. Not only do you get the whole house you get the whole property. From the time you roll through the gate you will never see another human. As soon as we walked through the door we heard the sound of light jazz, the smell in the house was very inviting. The views are incredible, the pictures do it know justice. The host was awesome. We had a little hiccup with the hot tub and they came right out to fix it.i could really go on and on about how awesome this place was. 10 out of 10 recommend. Just make sure you bring what you need for the weekend its a long ride to town. The host had thought of everything from, plates to condiments Even the storm that rolled through was awesome

From the time you pass through the gate, see the beautiful grounds, see the open vista, & finally open the door, it is jaw dropping. Had a wonderful stay. Spent a great deal of time outdoors, hiking around Rainbow Lake Trail, heading deep into Lookout Mountain to see Ruby Falls, enjoying local fare including a wonderful dinner at The Creag and another at the Canyon Grille. Never found a hair dryer, but all other usual amenities were available!

Unreal Views!

This property is unlike any other. From the entry gate to the steps leading down to the front door, the views are breathtaking. It’s called ‘tea house’ for a reason - it is small, but very nice build quality and nice amenities inside and out. The only reason I didn’t give this a five star review is the shower is disconnected from the house. I saw pictures of the outdoor shower but didn’t piece together that it’s the only shower. Regardless, it will be a stay like no other with incredible views. If you’re looking for a weekend getaway in the mountains, I highly recommend this property.

Dont go if temps predicted below freezing

Location was great for a peaceful and quiet time away. Please be aware that if the temperature is predicted to be below freezing someone will randomly show up to turn off the water until sometime in the future. I was sent a VRBO message about the water being turned off but on our arrival day. Person showed up to turn off the water around 7:45 pm and we discussed with person about the temperature not going to be below freezing that evening and they left. I sent a VRBO message staing my disappointment of someone arriving unannounced that late. VRBO message came back stating weather changed and sorry. Amenities listing is inaccurate stating a kurig coffee maker when they has a "nespresso." Both being a coffe drinkers we found this disappointing. Television placement makes it difficult to watch TV comfortably.

Cliffside stay

Beautiful cliffside cabin! Absolutely amazing view day and at night with the stars. Hottub was wonderful after a day of hiking. Cloudland state park was close and has Beautiful hikes. Recommended west rim loop and sittons gulch. Grilling at the cabin worked perfectly to enjoy sunsets! Relax and unwind here!

Great view

The only issue was that we stayed in December and temperatures got below freezing. Not an issue inside and even enjoyed the firepit and hot tub, but the water to the outdoor shower had to be turned off to avoid the pipes freezing and there is no indoor shower. We were told the water would be off between 7p and 11a, weather permitting, and even though the temp got well above freezing, the shower was not on when we tried it at around 4p. This is the only reason to give it 4 stars instead of 5. Any other time of the year would not have been an issue at all. I ended up taking a shower at the course after a round of golf and my wife took a shower after a spa treatment at the local resort. Inside the house was very warm, although the floor was cold. Wasn't much of an issue when using socks or house shoes. The view of the valley during the day, the stars at night and even being in the clouds when the weather became rainy and overcast was amazing. The inside of the house is slightly smaller than it appears in the photos, but that wasn't an issue. The angle of the bed compared to the TV isn't ideal and there's really nothing there to kick up your feet while watching TV, but a piece of luggage next to one of the chairs worked out fine. There are no hangers and very little room to hang anything up anyway. Just be aware. There is an iron and small folding ironing board which we didn't use. No oven, but there is a stove, microwave, and outdoor grill. Would go again.

Overall this location and property were beautiful. Definitely five stars. Extremely relaxing and very close to the state park which is fantastic for hiking. The only note would be that the wood decking is extremely prone to splintering. The owner does offer sandals and slippers to get around safely which is greatly appreciated but did get some splinters from just picking up my phone off the built in bench and kneeling to take a photo. Did not by any means diminish our stay because otherwise this is a remarkable location and romantic get away.

Great Getaway!

This place is the perfect retreat for peace and quiet! The location is close to hiking trails and restaurants at the McLemore golf course. Everything is exactly as the pictures in the listing, except the view which can only be appreciated in person. Coffee maker is a Nespresso maker and pods are provided in the cabinet- which was a nice treat! The place is well stocked with kitchen items, a fan, robes, and outdoor shoes to wear to the shower. We hope to return for another visit in the future.

The tiny home and view exceeded our expectations. The view was like no other…when there were clouds, we literally felt like we were in heaven, when the clouds lifted and saw the beautiful green valley below absolutely spectacular! The Asian decor was so Zen along with the labyrinth box and fountain idea, loved the sentiment of that as well.

Above the clouds

Surprised my wife with a 4th of July getaway. The pictures of the property didnt do it justice. We were able to see fireworks from 3 states, TN, Ga,and Alabama. We seen the most beautiful sunset and to top it all off we seen a meteor go right over us. When you're looking down on the fireworks and it seems you're able to touch the stars. We definitely plan on returning to this property if available. My wife said she'd never seen anything so beautiful.
