My stay at this property was far below an acceptable standard. From the moment we entered, we were met with a strong, stale, musky odor that immediately raised concerns about the home’s cleanliness and upkeep. As we continued through the house, we discovered visible mildew or mold discoloration in the shower—an issue that should never be present in a rental advertised as guest‑ready.Although early check‑in was appreciated, the interior temperature remained uncomfortably warm for hours, with no improvement. When we contacted the host for assistance, following the instructions provided, he was dismissive and short with us. This level of customer service is unacceptable and only added to our frustration.The outdoor area was equally disappointing. The pool deck was stained, the seating was worn and questionable, and the only shade provided was a blue tarp that looked like it was purchased from a local hardware store. For guests traveling from out of state—who rely on a rental home to provide basic comfort and functionality—this setup was far below reasonable expectations.By the time we considered leaving for a hotel, we decided to stay only because most of our time would be spent away from the property. Unfortunately, the issues continued. When following checkout instructions to strip the beds, we found extremely unsanitary mattress covers and pillows beneath the linens. This was unacceptable and raised serious concerns about the overall cleanliness of the home.
