« Lovely room in a set of 4 maybe more like a motel large parking lot no landscaping out front. That being said, the room itself was great. The location near the north entrance was super convenient. I just because of it's name expected something else so was a bit disappointed to start. »

« The property was lovely and relaxing. It was located in a gorgeous neighborhood. Only two suggestions, (1) let people know to bring slippers before they head to the mansion, (2) inform people staying in the upstairs rooms of the carriage house that the stairs are steep and difficult to climb »

« Overall it was really good. The only thing was the mirror on the dresser was not good looked dirty (but not sure if it’s just old). And there was not a lightbulb in the lamp on the dresser. Everything else was great! Those are just little things I worked around them! »

« My wife and I (and our 16-year old dog) came. My wife and I wanted to see the headwaters of the Mississippi. Our dog, blind and deaf, just wanted to be with us. It is a great location, and we really enjoyed the flock of wild turkeys that visited. This was the last trip our dog took with us (we had to put him to sleep shortly after we returned home). I think of Big Timbers with fondness as the last really good memory of our time with the dog. »

« The home is so amazing to walk through and take in all the historical features of architecture. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas and created a warm atmosphere for staying away from home after the holiday. We had the terrace room and were disappointed we could not use it due to the cold and snow. We plan to stay in that room again when the weather is nice so we can enjoy the view of the other beautiful homes on the street. »

« We stayed for 2 weeks for chemo for my son who has leukemia. It is very clean, everything we needed was there, Kent was a great host, and loved the grocery store Kowalski’s so close. We would love to stay again if available next round of chemo. »

« Choosing this gem away from the usual hub of Canal Street was the best decision! We enjoyed the in-room hot tub, comfortable bed and cozy fireplace. Aside from wishing for 3-prong outlets near the couch, a bench at the end of the bed for clothing/suitcases, a way to use and see the TV from the bed,, and non-slip stairs up to the whirlpool, we were very happy with everything else…especially the library, garden room and gorgeous staircase. Beautiful stay. Thank you! »

« The building is very old on the inside.It has lots and lots of character. The dining room is beautiful. The outside looks real modern. It was just a little too antique-ish. »
