Frangista Beach still feels like a neighborhood. Cobblestone streets, a gate at the front, towering palms, and the Gulf a few blocks south — close enough that the salt air finds you before the water does. Golden Hour Retreat sits at the quiet end of it, a four-bedroom beach house built around one idea: get everyone here, and make it easy.

The main floor runs open from end to end — living room, dining table for six, and a kitchen that connects to both. It's fully equipped, down to the drip coffee maker and the Keurig, the toaster oven, the Crockpot, the blender, and enough tableware to feed a full house without a second trip to the store. Light comes in from every direction, and the sofa faces a 75-inch TV for the afternoons when the sun wins and everyone retreats indoors.

Two retro arcade cabinets anchor the game room, stools pulled up and another screen on the wall — the kind of setup that quietly runs the trip's scoreboard. Six smart TVs are spread across the house in total, plus a dedicated workspace for anyone catching up on email before the sand.

Sleeping is sorted for a crowd. Three king bedrooms give the adults room to spread out, and a large bunk room with a triple full bunk and a triple twin bunk sleeps nine on its own, with its own bathroom attached — the rare setup where the kids get a wing and a sink of their own. Four full bathrooms mean nobody's waiting in the hall at eight in the morning.

Out back, a partially fenced yard and a covered patio with a gas grill make dinner a slow, easy thing: burgers going, someone still in a swimsuit, the light dropping. In-home laundry keeps sandy towels and long stays from becoming a problem.

The six-passenger golf cart is what changes the shape of the trip. Beach supplies are stocked and waiting — load them up, roll past the community pool, and you're at the sand a couple of minutes later. Frangista Beach's sugar-white sand and that improbable green water are right there, with Whale's Tail and Pompano Joe's close enough for a toes-in-sand lunch. Silver Sands Premium Outlets sits about two miles east, Sandestin and the Village of Baytowne Wharf about three, and Destin Commons, offering shopping, dining, and a movie theater, is approximately 4 miles from the home. When you want a quieter stretch of coast, Henderson Beach State Park and its dune trails are a short drive west.

- The beach is a short, easy neighborhood walk away, with a six-seat golf cart available for an even quicker ride.

- Signed liability waiver required before the golf cart is released for guest use.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.
