This was a nice get-away with friends-Sadly, the downstairs was a bit lack luster. The rug in the kitchenette area was filthy & needs replaced-The outside deck had rusty furniture that also needs replacement-Be aware the downstairs has no closet-It was extremely hot due to the window air conditioner that needs replacement. The bunk beds would prob fit a small child but not any adult-I would prefer a closet & the bunk beds out-Even if they put in a clothing rack would be nice to hang your clothes-I would suggest a hook on the bathroom door to hang clothes while showering. The bedding was nice, bed comfortableNow upstairs..I wish I had been upstairs. It seems they have updated it but not the downstairs. The kitchen was very nice & had all the amenities needed. The highlight was the bedroom with the attached balcony. it was lovely. I have to say the place was well stocked with everything that you need. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash & hand soap. The parking is really a struggle-It is on a hill & very tight. It was difficult backing in since it is on the highway but that can't be changed.The decking on the bottom floor desperately needs replacement-Several boards are loose & a lot of screws need to be screwed back in. Wear your flip flops or you may get splinters or step on screws.The beach is beautiful and stunning at sunset.It is walking distance to Pompano Joes. I don't like writing a negative review I just want folks to see the cons as well as well as the pros.

It was dirty. There hasn’t been a good cleaning done for a while. Mold on the shower heads. Had to pick up shower glass to take a shower wouldn’t slide. Roaches in the basement. Wouldn’t stay there again.

We truly enjoyed our stay. We had all of the amenities needed. Plenty of room too. We loved being directly on the beach. Also, our location was close to several eating places and shopping.

The unit was great. Clean, stocked very well with essentials. Better than any other units we have been too. Also , no bugs! Which we seen other units . Wish there was more seating in living room. 2 couches make more sense .There should be some cable rather than having streaming services. The master bathroom shower one side wouldn't open. The fridge shelves are on their last legs. Needs to be replaced. Parking is tough but we are used to it. We have stayed in these town homes for 8yrs. Overall great unit compared to some of the other units we have stayed in. Should add beach chair service. We paid for ours for two weeks . We did leg work to get the chair service. It should be combined with our actual agreement. Dishwasher was off kilter but someone came out immediately and fixed it and was super nice. Overall loved our stay. When you go somewhere for 2 weeks, you want things to be almost like home and it was just like it. Definitely will rent again.

My wife and I really enjoyed our 8 night stay at the Weekender. Great location, easy check-in, and clean. The unit itself is very nice, 3 levels of decks that face the beach, and the furnishings are really good.

Second time booking here

Location is perfect for our family with small kids. We don’t have to walk across street or carry everything down to beach. It’s easy to walk right back up indoors to grab whatever you need. It’s quiet at night which is also relaxing and keeps our little ones from waking up. The lower level back porches need to be updated because the steps & wood in general are old/warped. Otherwise, it is a great spot.

Can't beat the location!

We've stayed in Destin both during the summer & in October several times over the years. This was our first time staying in a condo on the beach, and it was great. Being only steps from the beach is a big plus, and even though there were more people on the beach than expected, we never felt crowded. Also, we were able to walk to Pompano Joe's, one of our favorite restaurants in Destin. The property itself was fine, plenty of room for just me & my wife & our dogs. Allowing dogs was what sealed the deal. Our only complaint was we paid for beach gear to be delivered because none was listed in the amenities for the property, then we arrived only to find a lot of beach gear available from the owner. So, we spent money unnecessarily. I regret that I did not contact AvantStay about this before we ordered the gear. Our communication with AvantStay was pleasant & painless. Anyway, everything else was great. Glad we went & hope to be able to return next year.

Location to the beach A+

The checkin process and communication with AvantStay was excellent. The access to the beach was easy and convenient. Plus not crowded as it is in a private beach area. The house was as stated. I would say there are a few items that were not up to par. The parking, truly only room for 2 cars and not SUV's. The decking and outside stairs are in need of repair. The deck is rotting and there are nail neads that stick up. The grills were not great, we did not use them as they are dirty and old, the grease under the grills was gross. Overall, we had a great trip, but disappointed in the items mentioned.

Beautiful house located on the beach!

Loved our stay and would do it again all over soon! Very nicely kept house and accessible to our own private beach. Gorgeous and very clean. Parking is a bit hectic but overall worth the stay! Thanks to AvantStay check-in and out process made so easy!

WONDERFUL VACATION RENTAL!!!

My husband and I stayed here with our daughter's family. The townhouse was the perfect setup for us. We took the lower level which consists of a large bedroom, full bath and kitchenette / living room combo. Our daughter's family took the 2 upstairs bedrooms / bathrooms and we shared the main floor living room / kitchen. The unit was well appointed and had everything we needed. It's been beautifully updated. We've stayed in a few of the Sanddolllar units in the past and this one ranks at the top. It was very nice to arrive and there be plenty of "necessities" there already (not the case with other units we've stayed in) such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, shampoo & body wash, dishwasher soap, detergent etc. I highly recommend this unit. The location is fabulous. My only criticism would be the decking needs some attention, particularly the lowest level and the couch could use a cleaning.

Right on the Beach

This townhouse is right on the beach. You step off your deck onto the beach. You don’t have to walk through a big condo complex or even use an elevator. Because you can just step out of your unit into the sand. This unit is very large. Lots of levels to spread out. The stairs in the unit are a little steep (warning if you have knee issues). Each level has gorgeous views and amazing balconies. One thing that this unit offers (that many other rentals don’t offer), is lots of supplies that you may need. They even supply you with shampoo and conditioner. We enjoyed our stay here and would love to book this place again.

Was a great place to stay. The only thing I’d say is that it could’ve been cleaned better. There was sand in the area rugs that clearly weren’t swept and if so not with a sweeper. Also the floors were cruddy. Dog hair from the last guest. I Had to wash my feet off before going to bed cause my feet got so dirty from the dirty floors. All I could find was a broom and dust pan to clean with. No sweeper or mop.

The Weekender is a great place to stay. We loved the atmospheare and community. We always chose a beachfront property and this place did not disappoint. I highly recomend this property. It will be our new go to when going to Destin.

This was an excellent location for our family to have a long weekend together. Our children are starting their adventures into adulthood and we wanted to make sure we have a family vacation before they get too busy for us. The Perfect Getaway

This place is perfect!! Right on the beach but not crowded. Plenty of room. Perfectly stocked kitchen. Comfy beds. Cute little balconies on each level. We had the best time and can’t wait to come back!
