Working for a few days in Miriam Vale
There is no choice in where to stay but this place is very clean and the owners are extremely friendly. The bed is comfy and everything is close by.

Staffs attitude towards using lastminute to book was terrible (we were only trying to go support a small town after covid). Bed was a little hard for our liking, microwave display was broken so we weren’t game to use it. Bathroom exceptionally clean although did notice a smell from the water (don’t believe this was the hotel fault) overall was cozy small place for a nice weekend getaway.

Old country motel located on Bruce Highway perfect distance from Townsville for a overnight stopover to Brisbane. Checkin was organised, pub and takeaway venue virtually out the back door. Motel is old but clean and tidy with comfortable bed - all that is needed.

Hotel located on main highway which you can hear passing traffic and trains. If just doing quick night stop on way travelling north/south room is clean with all amenities needed for quick stop.

Fair Enough
This is real bush accommodation, I hate to think what a city slicker would say about it. We wanted to get a little way down the road before a big drive, and it suited us perfectly. We had a good experience at reception, both on checking in and before when we hadn’t got an email confirmation. Our room was basic, but very clean and we appreciated the air con set to warm. I encourage others to step out of their comfort zone and experience real country hospitality.

Room was up a flight of wooden stairs - very difficult with bad knees and a suitcase - and right on the highway with trucks just a few metres away ALL night. Couldn't wait to leave.

Bruce really helpful and approachable good guy. TV in room did not work and Bruce let me use the next door room's TV. Main light in room was not working. Did not think that I got value for money compared to other places that I have stayed at.

Convenient Place to Stay
We enjoyed a pleasant overnight stay at the Motel on a business trip. Miriam Vale is a small town but the service we encountered at the Motel and the local Hotel (for dinner) was top class. Our room was comfortable and very clean and the owner was quick to respond to a problem we were having with the TV. This is a great spot to stop if you are travelling either north or south.

Clean and Tidy but a bit Expensive
Clean and tidy room designed for overnight stay only. Expensive for the size and quality but was only valid option for Miriam Vale. Under new management who are still learning their computer / booking system. Fair value for a country town.

Nice Place for Stay
I stayed overnight. The motel was conveniently located. It was quiet and overall clean. Manager was very helpful as we were late and she left the room open for us and had put milk in the fridge. Beds are comfortable and the room had private bathroom. All necessary kitchen amenities were there especially microwave. The only thing I found next morning was a yellow stain on a bedsheet near footend but that was the only issue otherwise the room was very clean and it did not cost much.

So sorry you didn't get a good nights rest,the windows have double glaze, did you shut both the glass windows.As for the television we have satellite TV not always the best of reception

Comfortable & Clean..
I stayed in the old Queenslander part of the Motel. Everything was clean and comfortable, plenty of space. You get a bit of road-noise being on the main road, but ear plugs cured that. Really friendly staff. One of the best beds I've ever slept on! Would recommend this accommodation to anyone.
