« The only two downsides were a lack of WiFi and cell service (only available in the main house) and no GPS. They do send you very detailed directions, but if you are wholly unfamiliar with the area, it can be a little unsettling to be on winding roads outside of civilization with no cell service. I admittedly panicked (we drove for 12 straight hours overnight), and our friend was on the verge of declaring us missing because he couldn't get in touch with us. « This cabin was awesome, secluded and quiet, we explored the area with-in 2 hrs. of cabin every day, visited town shops and antique stores. Visiting New River Gorge then Buffalo Creek Lantern Cruise was the highlight of the trip, a must see. We had a pit fire every night outside the cabin, awesome firepit. Would recommend this cabin for your stay. »

« This cabin and campground has so much to offer everyone of all ages. It is very family oriented and pet friendly. It was peaceful and everyone was so nice. I would definitely love to stay there again and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. »

« This was a little slice of heaven! Quiet, tranquil and perfectly off the beaten path. Everything was exactly as described and was well supplied for a week's stay. Excellent spot for stargazing and we loved Rodney the Rooster the best. I would highly recommend the tiny barn on the farm as the perfect place to get away from it all. »

« I booked the yurt for 2 nights as a graduation present for my son and his girlfriend. Alex was very responsive and made this booking super easy! They had the absolute BEST time, and had nothing but wonderful thing to say about the yurt and their stay. »

« Glady Hideaway was clean, quiet and well stocked. It was just the right size for two people. The kitchen was well equiped and the owners had everythi g needed to build a nuce campfire. We enjoyed going to Blackwater Falls State Park, Seneca Rocks and Spruce Knob during the day and relaxing at the cabin in the evening. Very quiet and serene! »

« Owner and family was super nice and friendly. Cabin backed up to a stream. So even though it rained off and on during my stay, I could open the back door and enjoy the serenity of the stream. The stream also was nice to listen to as I fell asleep each night! The price was super reasonable as well. »

« September 6-8, we had a great time at Roger's cabin. We came specifically to take the train ride in Cass. The cabin was very nice, clean, comfortable, roomy, had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the porch which had a gate to keep our dog from wandering. Also had a zip line leash for dogs, and water bowls. We noticed no fire wood there, so we didn't use the fire pit. Perhaps because it's been so dry there. We had some confusion about which driveway was the correct cabin, but...

« Exactly what we wanted - remote and with a good view of the night sky for stargazing. Directions were accurate and it was easy to get the keys and get in. Might want to come back sometime! »

« We have stayed at other properties in this same community around this time of year (Fall), and we really loved this home and host. The internet at the home is sufficient to support devices and streaming TV, and there are plenty of hikes and outdoor activities nearby to occupy your time. This house was very convenient, everything was in good working order, the views were spectacular. We enjoyed really good weather, beautiful stars, and just getting away from the city for a few days.
