Trotz Versprechen ein sehr mässiges Frühstück. Im Land des Kaffees war dieser einfach schlecht. das Reinigungspersonal und eine Bedienung waren ein Lichtblick.

Hotel unter Potenzial
Das Hotel liegt weitab vom Schuss, sehr ländlich und sehr ruhig. Die Gartenanlage und der Pool sind sehr schön und gut gepflegt. Die Zimmer sind einfach und etwas einfallslos eingerichtet, aber sehr sauber. Es fehlen ein paar nette Details, zum Beispiel Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer für einen Tee oder Kaffee. Die Außenbestuhlung auf der Zimmerterrasse und im Hof zum Frühstücken ist das blanke Metall und schon etwas angejahrt, nicht sehr gemütlich. Das Frühstück enthält alle Basics, auch frisches Obst, Joghurt und leckeren Kuchen, könnte aber durch frisches Brot (statt labberigem Toastbrot aus der Tüte) und besser schmeckendem Kaffee (Maschine zum selber Ziehen, das können die Italiener normalerweise deutlich besser) sehr aufgewertet werden. Die Küchenfrau war sehr italienisch-freundlich, der Concierge dagegen hatte, aus welchen Gründen auch immer, ständig schlechte Laune und konnte dies kaum unter Höflichkeit verbergen. Bei der Ankunft erwartete er uns mit den Händen in den Hosentaschen, bis wir unseren Koffer durch den Garten bis zu ihm herangeschoben hatten und griff auch erst nach einigem Zögern nach meinem Koffer. Ein freundliches Willkommen und insgesamt etwas mehr Entgegenkommen hätte der Atmosphäre gut getan. Insgesamt hinterlässt das Hotel den Eindruck, deutlich mehr Potenzial zu haben, als derzeit ausgeschöpft wird. Für uns wäre es keine Adresse, in die wir unbedingt mal zurückkehren würden.

Kleines Landhotel
Das "Torre" liegt abgeschieden ca. 9 km vor Modica. Es ist absolut ruhig dort, gute Luft, in der Umgebung Felder und sehr alte Olivenbäume. Der Komplex besteht aus ebenerdigen Appartements, die gut ausgestattet sind und täglich gereinigt werden. Sehr schöner Innenhof, in dem bei gutem Wetter das Frühstück eingenommen werden kann. Pool tiptop, schöne Rasenflächen mit altem Olivenbaumbestand. Internationales Publikum, alles sehr gesittet und angenehm. Rezeption spricht fließend englisch und ist sehr hilfsbereit. Manche Gäste hatten Schwierigkeiten, das Hotel zu finden, da offenbar nicht alles Navigationsgeräte darauf anspringen. Übrigens: Ein gut gemeinter Tipp: Navi ist zwingend, wenn man ein Auto mieten will.

Lovely retreat between Noto and Modica
Beautiful property, only 15 minutes to Modica. We had a room facing the pool and gardens. Pool and the room was very clean. Quiet location. The staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed for 3 nights and ate in the restaurant every night as the food was so good. Deconstructed cannoli will be remembered forever. If we return to Sicily would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at this apartment. The property and rooms were beautiful. We ate in the restaurant one of the nights and the the dinner and the breakfasts were delicious. I liked the country location and was easy to get around to Ragusa, Modica and Scicly by car. I found the bed was not the most comfortable and the toilet paper was the worst on our three week trip in Sicily and Italy. Otherwise was a nice luxury.

Lovely rural location central to surrounding communities and attractions. We were greeted upon check-in with local information and a glass of iced tea. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The staff was very helpful, attentive and professional throughout our stay. The restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner including some of the best seafood we had in the area; sauces were perfectly balanced and fish perfectly cooked. The desserts were delicious, too!

Hotel bellissimo in aperta campagna. Silenzio e tranquillità. Personale gentilissimo, ottima colazione, piscina spettacolare in mezzo agli ulivi. Per raggiungere la struttura è necessario l'uso del navigatore perché assai isolata nella campagna, con strade prive di segnaletica... Ma giunti sul posto... vale assolutamente il viaggio!

Magnifique séjour de lune de miel
Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour dans cet hôtel de charme pour notre lune de miel. L’accueil y est très chaleureux, le personnel est très aimable et sympathique, notamment Antonio le maître d’hôtel, aux petits soins avec nous tout au long du séjour. Les petits déjeuners sont succulents comprenant des produits locaux et pour tous les goûts (sucré, salé..). Le restaurant propose d’excellents mets ; nous recommandons les fabuleuses pizzas du chef ! La piscine est très chouette, au calme, et les aménagements autour bien agréables notamment pour profiter d’une sieste sous les oliviers. L’hôtel est également bien situé et permet de rayonner au sein de la magnifique Sicile Baroque !

Antica masseria perfettamente restaurata. Posto veramente incantevole nel pieno della campagna siciliana in una zona sempre ventilata in cui anche durante le giornate afose non fa caldo complice anche una bellissima piscina. La posizione è molto comoda per visitare tutto il Val di Noto perché è a mezzora di distanza dalle principali attrazioni. Le camere sono caratterizzate da un assoluto silenzio e da una pulizia perfetta. Staff gentilissimo. Ampio parcheggio gratuito a disposizione. Lo consiglio vivamente a chi ha intenzione di trascorrere una vacanza rilassante immerso nella natura dell'isola.

Posto tranquillo in mezzo agli ulivi, molta pace e silenzio. Il soggiorno è stato soddisfacente. Unica scomodità è stato avere il bagno al piano di sotto, e per andare a cena fuori bisogna per forza usare l'auto e cercare un posto nei dintorni (almeno 5 km).

Le nostre Junior Suite sono su due livelli, ampie oltre 40mq, e il fatto che il bagno sia a pianterreno è sempre molto apprezzato dai nostri Ospiti. La nostra Campagna, Modica in genere, offre un'ampia scelta gastronomica di qualità, l'albergo ha vicino ben tre ristoranti, da 2,5 a 5km. Per noi è importante la promozione del Territorio. Lovely country inn. Nice room and decent breakfast. The only criticism we have is we were grossly overcharged for the laundry service. When we asked twice for an estimate, we were informed the cost would be reasonable. While we expected there would be a premium, we were gobsmacked when we got the bill. It is for this reason we cannot give this place a high rating.

Un'oasi di relax a pochi minuti dal centro
Atmosfera bellissima, da vera cartolina, un tuffo nel passato con tutta la struttura resa efficiente ed adeguata ai tempi di oggi nei servizi. Ottime le condizioni del country hotel, giardino ben curato, sala colazioni con pietra a vista anche all'interno, cosi come anche per le camere, molto buona la qualità della colazione, ampissima scelta di prodotti. Una vera oasi di pace nel cuore della campagna modicana ma a pochissimi minuti dal centro, l'ideale per rilassarsi e per spostarsi in qualsiasi direzione. Parcheggio comodissimo per le auto, camera davvero molto ampia, climatizzazione fan coil, ecc.. La piscina completa l'offerta e sicuramente nel periodo estivo rende ancora piu' piacevole il soggiorno. Davvero cordiale tutto il personale presente, il posto vale assolutamente di essere ben valutato per un soggiorno a Modica.

We loved this hotel and it was by far the best place we stayed on our trip. The historic building and grounds are beautiful. Breakfast is served in a lovely courtyard and we got wonderful recommendations on day trips from the staff. It was so peaceful that it was hard to leave.

Dit hotel overtreft alles wat we op Sicilië hebben gezien. Deze verbouwde boerderij met heel oude muren en restanten uit het verleden, ligt erg rustig, dicht bij zee en bij bezienswaardige steden met leuke restaurantjes. De kamer met uitzicht op het zwembad en eigen ligstoelen voor de deur was zeer comfortabel. Het ontbijt was goed, evenals het diner in het restaurant, met weliswaar een beperkte keuze. Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk.

Staff is excellent
Giuseppe, the Front Office Manager, is very good and helpful. He touched base with us before our arrival and made us feel very welcome. The owner has been also friendly and he showed us around on the first night there. We loved the atmosphere and the place was better than what we thought. We would highly recommend this place and we will def come back.

We had a great relaxing stay at Torre Don Virgilio. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. The property was well kept and the breakfast was great. We enjoying lounging but the pool or on our own terrace. Perfect for some well needed r & r

Good place to stay, but.....
Lovely place to stay, even if finding it can be 'interesting'. A tip, if using a navigation device, is rather than inputting Via Rocciola Scrofani 260 as the street is to substitute Strada Provincial for Via. Only bad thing about the Hotel is that it doesn't do evening meals, so it is necessary to go out for evening meals. Nearest restaurants are about 6 minutes drive away. Great breakfasts and pool . Wifi can be a bit poor

Quiet, rural, lovely pool area
This hotel is remote and isolated but each restaurant we visited locally was really busy. Modica is only 20 minutes drive an the old town is interedting and has an authentic feel. I was a bit disappointed that the hotel restaurant was not open as we had to drive each evening. There was no apparent service at the bar either although you could always find someone at reception. Our room was as expected and characterful. We had a tiny balcony on the ramparts of this interesting old building. Lovely courtyard, olive grove garden and pretty pool. We had a comfortable stay and good breakfast, but the hotel felt partly closed for the season somehow. Our WC was not quite 'hotel' clean and the pool needed a bit of filtering, but there was work going on in the gardens. Good restaurant recommendations from reception and overall our stay was comfortable.
