If you want to stay apart from all the generall touristic places but still close enough, than this is the place to go. Even if it is only reachable by car it was a very lovely experience. Great view in the morning from the castle and excellant service/staff.

Einfach wow

A castle for a Princess, or a King in his castle
This hotel is really worth recommending. The service was outstanding and friendly, the food was a delight, the location with panoramic views a one-off, the renovated castle an adventure to relish.

Het hotel heeft een prachtig uitzicht, ligt redelijk centraal voor uitstapjes, netjes/schoon, lekker eten zowel in de bar als het restaurant, zeer vriendelijk personeel, ... Als ik toch 1 puntje van kritiek dien op te geven, is dat er voor mij persoonlijk wel een verwarmingselement in de badkamer mag zijn. Dit was 's morgens wat frisjes voor koukleumen zoals wij.

Absolutely incredible! I would say this is a once-in-a-lifetime destination but I wouldn’t hesitate to go back again. The views, food and service were all impeccable. One of the things I loved most is the many different places to relax and enjoy the scenery and, with less than 40 rooms, it was very quiet. I had the pleasure of having a massage there too, which was uber relaxing. The quaint village is a (steep) 10 min walk away and has some lovely places to eat and drink.

lugar de ensueño!
Todo fue excelente y nos ayudaron a preparar una sorpresa por un cumpleaños. Lo malo es que no pudimos alquilar auto y fue muy dificil llegar, seria lindo que tenga algo, un carro lo que sea para buscarte en donde te deja el bus. Ademas no tienen sereno, por lo que si necesitas salir temprano, tampoco podes. El resto es todo excelente! la comida, la atencion, absolutamente todo!!

Fabulous place at the top of a very steep hill
Fabulous setting (but a bit of a challenge getting up the very steep hill through the narrow streets - okay if you are a confident driver!). We loved the character and ambience, and the decor. Totally charming. And the staff were all really helpful too.

Fantastisk vistelse på slottet
Vi hade en mycket bra vistelse på Castillo de Monda. Vi hade enklaste rummet som var väldigt fräscht med stor bekväm säng och mindre bord med två fåtöljer. Badrummet verkade helt nytt! Perfekt mottagande vid incheckningen. Riktigt mysigt hotell med mindre poolområde. Sittplatser på många olika ställen att välja på. Vi åt godaste pizzorna ever! Frukostbuffé med mycket att välja på. Vi återkommer gärna!

Magical. Particularly in the evenings, where you can sit outside in one of several semi-private courtyards and enjoy a glass of wine, beautiful garden surroundings, and stunning views over the countryside from the castle's perch. The dining room and bar are also wonderful and the food superb. Room was comfortable, fantastic view. Would stay here again in a heartbeat if I'm every back in the region.

Excellent stay and super friendly reception and people : ) Room was great and also the food in restaurant. Nice with drinks in the pool when relaxing. Very calm place in general. Last road part is quite scary if you are scared of hights. It does not have the side protection which normal roads have. There is two ways in, city or the scary road : ) Both have their + & -. /AJ

We spent two nights at this amazing property. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar/grounds/pool were gorgeous and the food and drink were excellent and affordable. We were sad to leave!!! We never left the property really so no idea what there is to do nearby but if you need a place to swim/chill/eat, I highly recommend!
