The room, itself, was magnificent 👌. My reason for the low rating is the following: 1) we were given the wrong room number and key and walked in on other tenants. All we got was, "Oops, we're sorry. We have more than 1 family here this weekend with your last name. 2) we were then given a 4th floor, the highest floor, in a building (Building G), where the elevator was OUT OF SERVICE. All we received from the front desk in explanation was, "We have the part on expedited order. The elevator broke yesterday." We didn’t get a forewarning when given the key to the room. We had to learn this when we actually walked up to the elevator and there was the Out of Order sign. We were very disappointed that there was no forewarning, at least. So, then after we lugged our many bags up 4 flights of stairs, we had 3 days of up and down the stairs. It was just awful and tiring. We couldn't invite our mother to drive up to see us and sit with us in the room because she nor any of our aunts were able to climb the stairs due to their age and health. We really wanted to see our family that was due to drive up and visit us while we were in Myrtle Beach. I went to the front desk at the onset and tried to get a better and accommodating room, to no availability. All we received was, "We are sorry. The part should have been here by now." I asked for a discount of some sort on my room. Of course that was a NO WAY from the staff. Nothing was offered at all to make the very wrong a right. Nothing.
