Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Fairview. Alle Angestellten sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten das Glück, ein Upgrade auf eine Juniorsuite zu erhalten, auch späteres Auschecken war möglich. Die Suite war sehr schön und geräumig, die Betten sehr bequem, die Lage angenehm ruhig. Wir waren begeistert vom schönen Garten, der Liebe zum Detail, die man überall erkennen konnte, sowohl in der Hotel-Anlage als auch zum Beispiel beim Frühstücksbuffet. Es war einfach alles perfekt. Wir haben auch das Abendessen sehr gut in Erinnerung behalten, besonders das italienische Restaurant haben wir geliebt. Wir würden das Hotel jederzeit empfehlen und empfinden das Hotel tatsächlich als Oase in Nairobi. Roland + Janet

Very safe if this is a concern; excellent service and ambience (not a cookie cutter hotel). On the downside a bit the air conditioner was old and noisy, and difficult to operate as the display did not work. Also the bed/pillows not to me comfortable although this may be subjective. All in all would certainly stay again.

Lovely boutique-type hotel in NBO
Have stayed several times and appreciate this peaceful, comfortable and safe place. Service is charming and restaurants/food/breakfast are really good. Gym & pool at Fairview are also great. Will certainly come back on future trips!

Wunderschönes Cityhotel im Zentrum Nairobis
Kennen das Hotel seit vielen Jahren, ist für ein Großstadthotel super ruhig und schön angelegt, kein Klotz. Essen ist ausgezeichnet. Hatten diesmal ein Valentines Dinner, das ausgezeichnet war. Rezeption ist eindeutig nicht die stärkste Seite dieses Hotels, da hat sich auch mit Eigentümerwechsel nicht wirklich viel geändert. Preise sind in der Zwischenzeit auch sehr hoch. Es ist aber trotzdem zu empfehlen, da es ein sehr gepflegtes und entspannendes Ambiente ausstrahlt.

Fairview Hotel is echt een groen paradijs midden in de stad! Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en de sfeer is zo rustgevend. Heel fijn dat het restaurant 24 uur per dag open is. Het eten was er heerlijk. Ook het zwembad en de kamer waren super. We hebben een nacht bij aankomst in Kenia hier geslapen en vonden het zo fijn dat we de laatste dag van de vakantie nog een nacht hebben geboekt.

My Fairview Hotel stay was excellent. The hotel room itself was somewhat basic but plenty adequate and clean. It's a good tradeoff for the beautiful garden grounds and multiple spaces to sit and meet or enjoy the day. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was very good. One small point that can be remedied - ordering food at night poolside was a mixed bag. One night is was good and another night very slow with inaccurate food orders received. All in all, I would stay again without hesitation.

We've been staying at the Fairview for 25 years. Even with new owners, the facilities continue to be excellent. The staff is mostly new. We knew the old staff, and, of course, you appreciate people you know and like. Two considerations for management: 1. The Fairview is becoming less a warm and personal place to stay and more a commercial, corporate facility. That's a minus. It's the difference between, "Good morning, Mr. Schmidt, how was your sleep." and "What can I do for your sir?" 2. The prices are becoming much too high. Even the breakfast, always included in the room rate, is now an additional $25. That's outrageous, the meal just isn't that good. Climbing rates for rooms and meals might be reasons we look elsewhere when we visit Nairobi. Pity, we've enjoyed the Fairview for more than two decades.

Lovely hotel in Nairobi
Lovely property with beautiful grounds and a great pool (although I didn’t get to swim; it was too cool the day I was there). Friendly, helpful staff. Great breakfast buffet with many choices. Room was clean but not as attractive as the rest of the hotel. Tight security. Like many other hotels in Nairobi, the hotel is gated and watched by armed guards. Luggage is screened as you enter the property.
