Was mir gefallen hat war die Lage des Hotel und nähe zum JKIA Flughafen. Es gibt keine Taxis draußen deswegen empfehle ich die Uber App zu installieren. Das Hotel ist sicher: ich hatte beim Checkout mein Tablet, Kreditkarte und wichtige Dokumente im Zimmer-Safe vergessen was von Hotelpersonal aufbewahrt wurde. Ich fand manche Mitarbeiter unfreundlich. Beim Frustueckbuffet waren die Tische beladen mit benutzte Geschirr ungekummert. Ich musste mehr mals nach Tee fragen um es zu bekommen. Es gab einen Tag wo es kein Tücher im Zimmer gegeben hat. Eine Putzkraft hat die Tücher weggenommen ohne sie zu ersetzen. Das gleich ist mein Zimmernachbarin auch passiert. Ich muß zweimal wegen eine mangelhaft Fernbedienung anrufen. Im zweiten Etage auf dem weg zum Zimmer (Ausrichtung City) hat es im Flur nach Cigaretten-Rauchen gerochen. Als nicht-Raucher hat dies mir gestört und war unangenehm.

Das Hotel war sehr schön. Es lag direkt gegenüber eines Wasserloches und man konnte einige Tiere sehen, wenn man im Zimmer und am Pool war. Am Sonntag gab es sogar Livemusik. Das Restaurant war sehr schön, das Personal sehr zuvorkommend. Die traf auf das Personal an der Rezeption und im Restaurant nicht ganz so zu. Dort musst man sehr intensiv auf sich aufmerksam machen, damit man bedient wurde. Auch die Vermittlung eines Taxis in die Stadt war nicht möglich. Dies sollten wir selber machen, was sich mangels keniascher SIM-Card leider nicht realisieren ließ. Die Organisation eines Transfers in die Stadt mit Hotelfahrer klappte leider nicht. Die Abholung vom Flughafen und auch der Transfer zum Bahnhof bei An- und Abreise gelangen dagegen ohne Probleme.

Tolle Lage, super Ausstattung...
Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage und eine super Ausstattung. Leider ist der Service nicht dem Hotel entsprechend. Es waren zwar alle Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich, aber leider gab es viele Fehler. Bei Ankunft bekamen wir erst einmal ein falsches Zimmer mit Blick auf den Parkplatz und die Straße. obwohl wir extra Parkblick gebucht hatten. Der Fehler wurde dann korrigiert. Für den nächsten Tag hatten wir 2x Frühstück um 6.00 Uhr aufs Zimmer bestellt. Leider stand stattdessen nur eine Lunchbox im Restaurant zur Abholung bereit. Das Frühstüch viel somit für uns aus, da wir los mussten. Allgemein ist es ein sehr schönes Hotel, aber am Service muß unbedingt gearbeitet werden.

im Großen und Ganzen sehr gut
Hatte Standardzimmer, diese liegen zur Straße, wodurch man leichte Lärmbelästigung hat; ich hatte das Zimmer am Ende des Ganges, wo die Personaltreppe liegt: Die Benutzung dieser Tür war im Zimmer hörbar. Alle Türen in der Nähe waren hörbar. Das Zimmer selbst war geräumig und sehr gut ausgestattet. Das Steakrestaurant ist teuer, aber auch ausgezeichnet. Insgesamt waren alle Restaurants im Hotel von sehr guter Qualität. Hotel ist zu empfehlen. Überlegenswert: besseres Zimmer mit Ausblick auf Park

Good hotel in nice surroundings
The hotel is fine. You may perhaps not see big wild animals from the hotel, but I did see some larger birds. The water channel along the restaurant is illunated at night with blue light and looks synthetic; which does not match the "close to nature" image. Take advantage of breakfast at 6 (sunrise) or sunset.

Das Zimmer im Hotel war sehr sauber und der Service besonders gut. Die Aussstattung ist ansprechend und angenehm. Die Lage zwischen Nairobi Nationalpark und Flughafen ideal nach Einreise oder zur letzten Nacht vor der Ausreise aus Kenia. Die offene Terrasse im Restaurant hat eine besondere Atmosphäre und mit dem Essen und dem Service waren wir immer sehr zufrieden.

Das Ole Sereni ist eines der Hotels, die am nächsten am Flughafen liegen. Das Hotel ist sehr komfortabel und, wie ich hörte, erst 3 Jahre alt. Allerdings fehlte im Hotelzimmer ein Flaschenöffner!!! Wie soll man da etwas aus der Minibar trinken? Es blieb nur das Mineralwasser ... Ein Liter davon stand kostenlos bereit.

Hotel room very noisy (ventilation that could not be turned off). Staff very unfriendly. Location is not convenient (e.g. no taxis available only very expensive hotel shuttle), and you will very very likely see NO animals in the national park nearby. Better go to a nice hotel in town and a real national park...

Really rude staff and poor service. Our room was on the 4th floor near the entrance to the bedrooms. You could hear the doors opening and closing as people were entering the area and talking! The night before we were due to fly, there was a party in the restaurant which went till nearly 1am! There was no notification of the party and the music could be heard clearly in our room. Despite calling reception twice nothing was done about it. There was no apology from the staff and we had little sleep before. Catching an early flight. Absolutely shocking customer service!!!!

OK for dinner not overnight (the Hilton is nice)
Well, it’s difficult to know where to start. Giving the positives first, the food is not half bad. I don’t mean to say it’s good, it’s just okay. The rest of the experience not so much. My biggest complaint is the lack of attention to detail (I.e., taking towels out of the room but not replacing them or waiting over an hour to receive a check for dinner). The AC did not function in one of our two rooms. They did not provide an itemized bill at checkout so it feels the bill was ‘ball parked’. The rooms are dated and could be updated, but that’s the least of the worries. Also the ‘park view’ is of a sound wall - lovely stuff in what is (everywhere else) a beautiful county. If you like staying at a Motel 6 this is the place for you, otherwise stay anywhere else. Also their airport transfer is extortion (~$80 for a ~$9 ride) and they will charge as much as they can get away with.

Just finishing up a 6-night stay here. Pros: Very safe with visible security presence and required key card access to hallway to rooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful especially Johnson and Faith in Big 5 restaurant where I had excellent meals. Breakfast is the best with a lot of options on the buffet for a reasonable price (Ksh 3500). Had a nice room facing the park but much fewer animals compared to my last visit since there is a big highway now behind the hotel. Better views from the rooftop restaurant at Emara across the street. Cons: AC did not work in the first room I was given. Switched after 2 nights to a much better one where it was at least functional. Can only cool to 18C, wished it could go lower by a few more degrees. My check-in was also a bit involved as Expedia confirmation did not show up on hotel side. I resolved by calling Expedia customer service. Last tip for improvement is quicker service in the restaurants once a guest is seated. The service IS good, in terms of friendliness, correct orders etc, just engage the customer as soon as they are seated.

Think twice befor booking
The hotel staff was great but had bad experience with a broken air condition unit. I called the front desk and who send a repairman they didn’t seem to understand what the issue was. In the end I spend the night sweating
