The only thing missing that would have been really nice is air-conditioning, otherwise the condo was well stocked with everything you could possibly need including beach chairs and an umbrella.

Perfect location for our short stay on Maui. Easy access to beaches, snorkeling, shopping, other areas of island. Home had shower amenities, towels, beach chairs and well stocked kitchen…we had breakfast and dinner ‘at home’ each day.

This was our first visit to any of the islands and we didn’t want to leave. This place is perfect! Everything you want and close to everything in west Maui. You can walk out your door and watch the sea turtles come on shore and lay in the sun or watch them swimming. The outdoor of the property is perfectly manicured with flowers. It also has a nice pool and it’s so quiet with beautiful sunsets. A lot of people snorkelled from there since the coral reef is right there.

We are a family of 5 and the space was perfect for us. This is a quite complex for the most part, turtles come up right in front of the complex. There is no beach right I front but less than a 5 min walk you’re at the beach (not crowded at all) where you can snorkel and swim. No AC in the room was not an issue at all, with all the windows open, you get a nice breeze to keep you cool at night. We will be staying here again.

The property was incredible! There were so many beautiful plants and flowers, I felt like I was in a botanical garden. We enjoyed the pool, BBQ and waiting for the turtles to come to shore around 3 each day for a snooze. I would definitely stay here again!

There were a lot of problems with this site. 1. The code on the door wouldn't work when we arrived at night. We had to wait outside and find out who to call. Finally got someone to come and open the door. 2. The size of the apartment was very small. It looked much bigger in the photos. 3. the rooms were dirty. There was junk in the room from many years ago. The utensils in the kitchen were dirty. The microwave was rusted. Bathrooms were dirty. 4. The beach beside the property is completely rocky. There is no sand and you can't swim in it. The pictures on the site that show sand are misleading. 5. Checkout time is 10 AM. That was too early for our flight. We asked for a reasonable adjustment, but they communicated poorly and showed no flexibility and did not change our checkout time. We had to spend all day outside until our flight time. Even expedia could not do anything about this.

We stayed at Mahina Surf for our 30th Anniversary, for a week. We had a very smooth check in process, with great communication. The unit was exactly as mentioned and/or shown online, and it was Beautiful! It was fully equipped with everything you could need and then some, more than most hotel rooms. It was in an amazing location, right on the ocean and had an incomparable view of the sunset! There were also resident Green Sea Turtles resting nearby every night! Incredible! Dollie's pizza is super close and an ABC store too. They have a nice pool and we even saw a double rainbow bridging the gap between the view of islands, Lanai and Moloka'i! Definitely will be back!

I love Mahina Surf… have stayed at this property lots of times. With the remodel on the exteriors the property looks so good. I know it’s been expensive for the owners. But interiors need to be addressed. I may be a little tough on this unit, but some details need to be updated. The light switch in the bathroom runs the fan too. That was irritating. No beach chairs or coolers like in other units. Kitchen was very well equipped. But no storage for storing food. None in the bedroom closets either.. Clear out some of the unnecessary items to allow more storage. Its a good unit but could be a great one with just a few changes.

I have very mixed feelings about this place. On one hand, the location is beautiful, close to the ocean, with a pool on site and plenty of parking for rental cars. On the other hand, there were several important issues that significantly affected the comfort of our stay. Nowhere in the listing was it clearly stated that the condominium does not have air conditioning. We had to manage by creating cross ventilation, which meant keeping the patio doors and the front door open most of the time. This is far from a comfortable solution, especially when it comes to privacy. Each room had ceiling fans, but the one in our bedroom was broken. There was no low setting, only medium and high speeds. The airflow was so strong that my wife could not sleep in the bedroom and had to move to the couch in the living room, while I slept under a blanket trying to shield myself from the excessive wind. The biggest issue, however, was that we were not accommodated in what we actually booked. The reservation through Expedia was for a studio with a king bed, which we paid extra for. Instead, we were given an outdated condominium with a 1990s style interior that did not match the listing or our expectations. After reporting the issue, we were redirected to the property operator, Vacasa. The case was passed to a manager who left me a voicemail. Unfortunately, instead of offering help, he questioned th

Nice property, scenery is spectacular and private not good for swimming, great for morning coffee and sunsets. Pool was nice. My unit did not have an AC unit. One ceiling fan was out of order and little cockroaches found (3). No real concierge or help desk for info. Private and ok for price. we made the most of it.

Property location and amenities were great. Condo itself was nice enough until we discovered all the issues. Issue one, the door code did not work on arrival which was very frustrating as it was very late at night. Once I called Vacasa they sorted out the code and got us in. There are no sharp knives in the kitchen (all mismatched, bent, and dull as rocks), the pans for cooking were very old, scratched, pealing Teflon that everything stuck to and had to be scrubbed by hand. On that note the dish washer barely works. The last straw was the bed bugs. My daughter woke with mysterious marks in her armpit the second night of the trip. Then a day later on her neck. At first I thought maybe her eczema was flaring up in a new way and then my mother who was sharing a room with her got the same marks on her knee. That’s when I finally started googling bed bug bites and found the pattern matched the markings on both.
