« Due to circumstances beyond our control we were forced to cancel our reservation at the hotel, which we did by telephone four days before our expected arrival. When the hotel refused to refund our prepayment, we asked for a raincheck, which they didn't even answer. »

« We came back late from a long walk in the Lakes and realize arriving in our room that they gave us a room with no blind or curtain !!!! We rang the Reception at 11pm they said someone was coming but nobody showed up. The following morning when we wanted to record a formal claim the receptionist just told us "sorry" It is a shame !!! Avoid this hotel ! You pay a high rate for the location but the rest is shameful !! »

« A character-full period property in an impressive setting, with parking space provided. Everything was clean and tidy.The breakfast room has some great views of the surrounding landscape. The breakfast itself was delicious and plentiful. There is also a lounge room downstairs which has a shared fridge and a free espresso maker in for use throughout the day.
