The view is terrific. Maria is a great hostess, met us upon arrival, checked on how we were enjoying our stay, and responded quickly to inquiries. Accommodations very clean and comfortable, and kitchen very well equipped. All in all a very pleasant stay.“

„Ok it's not lakeside. You do need to cross a road. But with the minimal, quiet traffic there was absolutely no issue. Comfy bed, all the amenities. Showering with an open window to the super quiet road - exhilarating!“

Truly a wonderful experience, the owners thought of everything even providing a flashlight and umbrella since we came during a rainy weekend. „We really enjoyed the property. There are short hikes around the property, that you can link up to longer hikes if you choose. About 20 minutes from Nelson. There are a few cabins on the property, but very private and not all too close to each other. It was very quiet and easy to get to more urban areas if you choose. „The cabin is lovely. The kitchen is fantastic, well-equipped, and laid out beautifully. The Smeg fridge is lovely and retro and surprisingly holds a lot of food. The dishes/pottery are exceptional. The pots and pans etc are excellent, and a lot of them. The island is enormous, which is great. The bed is memory foam and unbelievably comfortable. The cabin was spotless. „Such a beautiful place to shut off and remind yourself of what life used to be like. We would have enjoyed a bit more of a personal space to enjoy outside other than deck and with being directly in trees do not expect any sunny area to sit.“

„We loved this place and would definitely recommend it. It lives up to the description and photos! The view is stunning day and night and it's 5 minutes from downtown. The kitchen was easy to cook in with everything we needed. We only gently heard faint footsteps upstairs and enjoyed being in someone's beautifully cared-for space. Only regret was not being there late enough in the season to see the gorgeous plantings come alive.“
