Beautiful Home, But Poor Maintenance Ruined the Experience

The home itself was beautiful and well-presented; however, there were several unexpected issues that impacted my experience. Upon arrival, the pool and hot tub were not cleaned—the hot tub was green, and the pool was unusable, which was disappointing as these amenities were a key reason for renting the property.Additionally, the fly problem on the property was significant, with flies frequently entering the home. Cleanliness overall was lacking. The outdoor trash had not been emptied for several days, resulting in maggots and a strong odor. Inside, I had to unload the dishwasher upon arrival, which was not expected.Improved organization and clearer instructions would enhance the guest experience—for example, labeling light switches and providing guidance for backyard amenities.While the property has potential, I likely would not rent it again due to the cost relative to the condition and lack of access to key amenities.

Little Piece of Paradise

We are a group of teachers, who came out on a mini vacation to plan for the upcoming school year. Our stay was great! Plenty of room, internet worked great, views were beautiful, and the house was too! We truly enjoyed our stay. The only reasons it didn’t get a 10 star review was because 1. We weren’t told the hotub would not be working (the pool was great though!) and it’s June/July so we didn’t really need to use it. 2. We wish the lawn had been mown before arriving as in Texas tall grass attracts things and if we had wanted to sit out by the fire pit, it would have been risky to walk in it. 3. We had no clue how to work the thermostat, even after Googling. It would be nice if instructions were sent or left on how to adjust it. Other than those three (minor) things, our stay was fantastic and we intend on returning and highly recommend to others!
