We decided to visit New Orleans for my husband's birthday. I wanted him to have the a great birthday so I paid for early check in. When we got there the young lady that check us in was very kind and helpful. The rooms were not ready so they told us that they would call us when the room was ready.about 4hrs later I called the hotel to see if the room was ready and the person I spoke to over the phone was extremely rude and she said that I had the operator and I need to just speak to the front desk and transferred me and I was on hold for about 10 minutes. We decided to just go to the hotel and check to see if the room was ready. When we got there the girl that helped us was extremely rude nasty barely talk to us wouldn't even tell me the room number. The girl explain to me the rooms are still not ready and that she was going to put us in a different room. We ended up going from the 18th floor to the 10th floor., when I walked into our suite we could not see the river other than a very tiny view betweenthe 2 that stood in the way . At this point I was already irritated because the girl was very rude to us and downgraded us after paying for an upgrade. I went to the concierge status and ask the manager. The manager was very kind very helpful he took very good care of us. But it was still an inconvenience that I had to go down wait for manager just to get the room that I'd already paid for. He did put us up on the 17th floor where we were able to see the riverfront much better.
