This was our first trip to NOLA Matt met us and got us all checked in… told us of some special places to eat right around the apartment… this was a great location.. easy to get to where we wanted to go.. the place was clean and was a great place to rest and get ready for the next day of sightseeing!! Highly recommend this place and would stay here again if we get back to NOLA

Great Location

Really cute place just right for two. Walking distance to everything we wanted to do or to the trolley or public transit. Nice to have a supermarket right across the street so we didn't have to go out for every meal. Responsive and helpful communications from Steve! Would definitely stay again.

Great Suite near the action in New Orleans

My experience was wonderful from the start. Once I booked I received a guide to recommendations for music, food, and attractions. The day before my stay I was contacted by Steve to arrange a time to pick up my keys. Steve was right there as I got out of my cab. He immediately oriented me to the neighborhood and the property. The suite was perfect for my needs. It was clean and well appointed. It was easy walking to a grocery store, restaurants, bars, live music, French Market, and the French Quarter. I’ll stay there again when I return with my wife.

Perfect Home Away From Home While Visiting Nola

TLDR: If you’re visiting the French Quarter this area is a perfect location to stay. Close enough to the FQ for adventures, food, and entertainment but far enough away to get away from the tourist and relax on the back courtyard. The VRBO hosts Matt and Steve are hands-down the single best hosts we’ve ever had at any location and the property was everything shown and described in the listing AND more. Read my full review below for the full scoop. The Hosts: Matt and Steve were a text or email away. We had the pleasure of having Matt greet us when we arrived and he gave us the tour of the property as well as more local suggestions than you might have time to explore. That was part of our problem but it’s a good problem to have. Their local suggestions should be heeded because all the ones we could squeeze in were really great! The suggestion book that was onsite was really helpful to. Aside from the fantastic meet and greet both were only a quick text away if we had a question or needed something. We had some pretty funny conversations too and if you get a chance to hang out with either I highly suggest it. Good people and great company! They’re the kind of people you wish you could invite over to the back yard when you get home but you’ll just have to come back and visit them. The Property: We stayed in the Courtyard Suite since there were only (2) of us and it was fantastic! You have a fully decked out studio apartment basically. If you wanted to stay and cook you had everything on hand to do so except for the food. As for the groceries, well that’s just a VERY short walk across the road to the local grocery store named Robért Fresh Market. Think of it as a smaller Whole Foods. The suite was immaculate. There was plenty of accommodation for clothing in the closet or drawers. Plenty of towels/washcloths/etc. Plenty of other essentials like toilet paper or paper towels. The décor was very nice and comfy and just visually looked great. There’s also a full laundry that’s shared with the other rental locations onsite. Accessed using your own key. The bed was also VERY comfy. Other things like an ironing board, hair dryer, and basics were also available. They truly had everything covered that we needed. There’s also a Internet onsite which had great speeds. Access to the courtyard is behind a locked gate that you’ll use to enter or leave the property so no worries, you’re safe at all times. Enjoy that courtyard too!

Great neighborhood spot

The Courtyard Suite was perfect for my first trip to New Orleans. It’s in a great neighborhood with restaurants nearby and walking distance to so many things to do. Communicating with Matt and Steve was easy and fun, and there’s a list of all kinds of places to go and things to do in the area. Plus they had balloons in the suite celebrating my birthday! I can’t wait to come back to New Orleans and I’ll definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything!

Convenient comfort

Just a few blocks from the French Quarter, with plenty of interesting bars and restaurants only a short walk away. Extra credit to the hosts for being so attentive while dealing with unexpected personal affairs far more important than a guest’s comfort. Would happily stay here agsin on my next visit

AMAZING STAY AND HOSTS!

Our stay was simply amazing! Steve and his husband were incredibly kind, funny, and hospitable! They even were kind enough to provide balloons for my boyfriends birthday - SO THOUGHTFUL! Now for the additional deets: - the mattress and bedding was very comfy. Both me and my boyfriend have back injuries and the bed was EXCELLENT. - kitchen was well equipped and has all the thoughtful necessities. -courtyard was picturesque and a nice respite from NOLA exploring. - the bathroom had thoughtful touches like cotton balls and tissues for removing makeup and applying toiletries. You can tell everything in the space was thought out. We were INCREDIBLY comfortable. Thank you so much!!

Cozy Nest

Happy to have had four nights here during first weekend of JazzFest. The location is excellent for running around Frenchmen St and the grocery across the street kept me from bingieng on bengeits. The owner has thought of every comfort for his guests, including water, ice, and plenty of soap to scrub off the sunscreen you will need in New Orleans! We had an absolute ball and hope to come back one day.

A gem!

Amazing trip!! Matt and Steve went out of their way to welcome us and even saved us a parking spot! You can not beat this neighborhood- easy walking to restaurants, coffee shops, music. Everything is accessible! The apartment is so cute and equipped with everything you need.

Awesome place to stay. It’s only a mile away from the French quarters and a great grocery store directly across the street. Several bars with a half mile distance more or less. My wife and I walked to at least 3 during our time there. I will absolutely recommend to this place as a place to stay while in New Orleans.

Cute and Cozy

Everything was great from the time we got there until we left. Matt and Steve were very accommodating! They gave us a long list of places to eat and things to do. They answered all of our questions and communicated every step of the way. They left us with a stocked beverage fridge, a super plush queen sized bed and a beautiful courtyard to hang in. This place was stocked with kitchen items to cook with and plenty of linens and towels for our needs. This location was a short walking distance to a grocery store, Starbucks, bars and maybe a 20min walk or a 5min bike ride to the French Quarter. You could bring bikes, but they also have electric bikes to rent if you don’t bring any. We would highly recommend this place and can’t wait to book again in maybe one of their other locations! Great Access to NOLA Music and Fun

Location near Frenchmen St. music, Marigny clubs, and French Quarter fun makes this second floor apartment perfect for exploring NOLA! Walk to any of these sites, or a short drive to WWII Museum, Garden District or almost anywhere else gave us freedom to decide each day's adventure spontaneously - a big plus given NOLA weather and your own recovery from the prior day. The unit is above the gorgeous, rehabbed main house, with stairway access off the typical courtyard in back. It was modern, clean, well-furnished, well-stocked and with a comfortable bed. Matt and Steve were always available and attentive to requests. Great choice for a first visit, or if you know exactly where you want to go and just need a close-by landing spot at the end of a night of great live music!

Great location and hosts

Very clean and a great location. Hosts were very accommodating and kept in touch. The space is comfortable, has all the amenities you could ask for. A short walk to Frenchman Street. AEasy walk to great breakfast places, and less than 100 yards to a fantastic neighborhood market with all the good and drink you could want.

Wonderful Find in NOLA

The property was very nice and were way above our expectations. It was very comfy, quiet, secure, and quiet. And a sort walk to Frenchmen Street for all the good jazz and blues. There is a nice grocery store across the street and a Starbucks. And the owner Matt is truly the most special caring person we have had the pleasure to meet. He was concerned for us from the day we landed until we arrived back home in Pennsylvania. He gave us all the help we needed with any question or concern. We would love to return again and will stay here. We previously were in NOLA and stayed at a hotel off of Bourbon Street. The special thing about Matt and his property is you start feeling like a local and get a better love for the city when staying here.
