It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. This shotgun home blends classic New Orleans character with easy modern comforts, built for settling in after a full day of exploring the city.

Living space
The layout follows the classic New Orleans shotgun style - a walk-through floor plan that's authentic to the city and unlike what you'll find elsewhere. High ceilings and tall windows carry natural light through the home, highlighting its original details and creating a bright, welcoming feel from room to room.

Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms and two full bathrooms comfortably sleep up to six guests. Each bedroom has a bed made up with quality linens, plus a dresser and luggage rack so unpacking is simple and storage is never an issue.

Kitchen & dining
The fully equipped kitchen is ready for real cooking, not just reheating - a cooker, oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker and all the cooking basics are on hand, along with crockery, cutlery, wine glasses, a toaster and a baking sheet. Gather around the dining table for coffee before heading out, or a home-cooked meal at the end of the day.

Outdoor living
Mornings belong on the front porch; evenings belong in the large, shared fenced backyard. Outdoor furniture and a firepit make it easy to relax outside and enjoy the rhythm of the neighborhood, and free on-street parking keeps coming and going simple.

Comfort & practicalities
Air conditioning, a ceiling fan and heating keep the home comfortable in any season, and a washing machine and tumble dryer are on site for longer stays. Essentials - towels, bed sheets, soap and toilet paper - are provided, along with extra pillows, blankets, hangers and an iron. A TV and wifi cover entertainment, and smoke alarms, a carbon monoxide alarm, a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit are in place for peace of mind. The home is single-level with no stairs, and self check-in via smart lock and a private entrance make arrival effortless.

Location
Mid-City puts you within walking distance of local restaurants and bars, plus the Canal Streetcar - a direct line to the French Quarter, City Park and the Superdome. It's a well-placed base for festival season, from Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest to Essence Fest and the Sugar Bowl.

Pet policy
This home is pet-friendly for up to two dogs under 25 lbs, with a pet fee applying.

Please note: No parties, no unregistered guests, and no smoking. Any attempt to host a party of any kind will result in immediate termination of the stay with no refund.
