Clean, comfortable and cozy rooms. The bed was nice and expected the small size of room as it’s NYC. The location is walkable to many attractions, including just a couple blocks from Times Square. Didn’t love the mandatory $25/Day food credit that you can only use once per day, especially since the restaurant was often closed in the evenings when we would have been able to conveniently use it, we tried two nights in a row and the kitchen was closed, then were told we could use it later/a different day and it was a hassle when we tried to do that, an extra $150 (with taxes) that I wasn’t planning on spending. Plan on spending $25/day on breakfast there and you should be fine. The hotel itself was nice and the room was clean and comfortable. If not for the mandatory restaurant issue I would highly recommend this place.

Cool property! Very easy walking distance to Times Square so you have EVERYTHING around you! Clean rooms that were fairly large compared to some of the other boutique hotels. Great staff/food in the restaurant and the receptionist in the morning after our stay was amazing but if you’re looking for attitude and someone to make you feel like your inconveniencing them the night receptionist will be glad to help you.

Everything was excellent. The staff at Merrion Row is exceptional and very accommodating. Food and drink first rate. Great location and the rooms, though a little small, are quaint and well appointed.

Merrion Row Hotel is a cool hotel, located very near Times Square, Theatre District. It has a real Irish flavor in the rooms and dining areas. The rooms were very nice. Bed very comfortable, beautiful windows, nice furnishings, nice bath. When we stayed, the shower temperature was difficult to control, but the shower was very nice and spacious. Overall, I would highly recommend! Staff was very good! And despite the busy location, rooms were quiet and serene.

The Merrion Row Hotel is a gem! Just walking in off of busy 45th Street you are welcomed by warm staff and a cozy interior. It feels European in all the best ways. The restaurant and bar are delightful and the food delicious. The room was clean and spacious and very comfortable. You will to be disappointed! I can’t wait to stay here again.

Really nice boutique hotel with uncomfortable beds
A really nice boutique hotel in the midst of All the activity in Times Square, everything about the hotel is really quite nice except the bed was really firm, and the pillowcases were really hard to the point where I had some trouble sleeping so if you like firm, it's great if not, not so great also, I didn't like the fact that there wasn't a coffee maker in the room, not a big deal but nothing like having to go all the way downstairs and pay for a cuppa coffee, additionally, they give you a $25 coupon for the restaurant but the price of everything is jacked up 300% so it's really kind of a fake coupon to get you to spend more money, if you're OK with super firm bedding and hard pillows, it's a great place :))

Quiet, Comfortable and Convenient
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were well appointed, comfortable, and very clean. Brunch in the restaurant was excellent. We couldn't have asked for anything better. The location was right off Times Square but still quiet and peaceful if you can believe it. Would 100% stay here again.

Small room, great location, friendly staff, but got charged a $75 fee per night upon booking, then when checking out got an extra $25 per night. You also get a $25 coupon per night for the restaraunt, but we weren't able to use it, just seemed kinda like a ridiculous extra surcharge

Perfect stay at this hidden gem!
Absolutely wonderful stay! The location was perfect and close to all our activities. Easy walking to Times Square and Rockefeller Center. The hotel staff were super friendly and accommodating. Having the hotel restaurant on site was very convenient and added plus that the food was delicious. We never had a bad meal. Will definitely stay here again.

Had we known that “premium” Queen beds meant that we were paying for Murphy beds that dropped down from the wall, we would not have booked this hotel. The photos were deceiving and the room was very disappointing. To say something positive, the bathroom was very clean.

A little gem near Times Square
The staff was friendly, and our room had everything we needed. The quiet ambience given the location was greatly appreciated. The only drawback was some less than seamless service in the lounge. The breakfast service was great!

It was so fantastic to stay at the Merrion Row Hotel and Public House on our visit to NYC! We loved it and the everyone was wonderful!! Great location walkable to Times Square and Broadway but still on a quiet street at night. We stayed on the 2nd floor street side and had zero problem sleeping. We will definitely stay again!!

What am I missing?
I don’t know how this place gets such good reviews. Good location and clean room. But that’s about it. Reception area wedged in passageway, receptionist wasn’t friendly or helpful, hidden $25 “urban fee” (whatever that is), room was tiny and dated with loud noise from next door bar/restaurant. Tried to have a quiet breakfast the next day, only to (a) sit near four very loud kids egged on by waitress, and (b) get a small watery oatmeal for $15. Very disappointing.

We've stayed in this property a few time, and really like to location, easy to get to everything we want in NYC. The staff is always so nice and helpful. We love the bar/restaurant in the hotel, excellent food and drinks. My only complaint was our room didnt have a window to outside (it look into the bar next door), so it was not ideal for me.

Such a unique property - excellent location (we were perfectly situated between Macy's parade route and Times Square). Great option for those who don't use elevators / only use stairs, as the property is just six stories and has an easy to access staircase. The bartenders were the best!

Nice quiet hotel right off Times Square. Reservation was not in their system but showed in Expedia. No problem they got a room assigned, texted when the room was ready. Checkout was smooth and was nice to have a food and beverage voucher for the bar/restaurant. Room was small which was fine for a solo traveler.
