Great place!
Two friends and I had a great 5-day stay. Could have used extra blankets in that we were a bit chilly inside sometimes - but the location is great, about 2 minutes from the subway on a pretty quiet street. We lucked out with the Schomberg Center on the corner hosting Women’s Jazz Fest while we were there, got to go to an amazing show. The place was clean and the property manager was responsive when we had questions. I give 4 stars for “accuracy of online listing” only to say that check-in information was conflicting in different emails, which led to some confusion. There is NOT a lockbox with a key that you need to retrieve and leave on the table upon checkout - just the door codes. But again, the property manager answered questions promptly and accurately, so no harm done in the end!

Enjoyed Harlem (neighborhood) Cafe, walked to, toured Apollo Theater and shopped downtown. Short distance to Central Park. During week, parking was easy, no problems. Door locks/codes time sensitive. Hosts helped and answered questions as needed. Grateful. Would recommend another chair or sleeper sofa for more comfortable seating in living area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, the weather was mid 50’s in Jan.!!, people we met friendly and helpful, the area busy during day, quiet at night. Living the NYC apartment lifestyle was on our bucket list — CHECK ✔️ we’d do it again. Thank you

Super clean. Great location
We stayed here for six nights. The apartment is really clean. My husband and I slept in the bedroom; my son on the couch, which was very comfortable. Kitchen is supplied with basics. Location and proximity to trains is great. Make sure you go to the Red Rooster - fabulous.

Easy, no frills stay
The unit was basically as advertised. There were a few small things that could've been better (the bedding seemed worn, clean but worn. And the towel rack in the bathroom was loose and beginning to come out of the wall). However, outside of that everything was great. Check in was easy, great location, great communication.l with landlords. No problems at all

NICE BASIC APARTMENT
This small apartment in a quiet Harlem neighborhood has a comfortable bed and the basic necessities. Like some other reviewers, I don't feel it would be suitable for four people. Easy walk to Lenox Avenue and the express subway to downtown Manhattan. I enjoyed my stay and would book it again.

Ideal location, quiet neighborhood
Patrick was very responsive and helpful to all questions we had about the property and area. Instructions for check-in were comprehensive and easy to follow. We were three adults, staying for a week of sight seeing. Very close to the subway and easy to get downtown. Felt safe in the neighborhood, close to grocery store and some local restaurants. It was very hot over 30C and aircon unit and fans kept the place cool enough. Aircon was a bit noisy but not enough to be any bother. There is one bedroom with a full bathroom accessed from the bedroom. Bedroom has no door between it and the living area. There is a portable screen you can pull across but limited privacy. There were three adults staying on our trip - a couple in bedroom and my 17 year old son on pull out couch in living area. Worked ok for us, but if privacy is important, this place is probably better for just a couple. Kitchen was well stocked with plates, utensils and cooking pots. It is an older property with only one window in the bedroom, so was a little dark unless you have lights on. Apartment would benefit from updating and renovation but was ok for a place to sleep. Didn't hear any noise from other apartments or outside. Overall very much enjoyed our stay, it was fun to stay in a residential area away from major tourist routes.

Decent accommodations without the frills
Our accommodations were fine for what we needed - a place to stay on the north end of Manhattan to attend a college graduation and get to and from Midtown Manhattan - the 2, 3 and B, C are all short walking distances down brownstone-lined side streets. The apartment is smaller than what appears in the pictures and is suitable for two adults. The bed is ample but not firm. The kitchen is functional but could use hot pads, a working can opener and good storage containers. Table and standing lamps would be a nice touch to add warmer lighting to the apartment. Reservation communication was very thorough, prompt and professional.

Great Apartment
This was a nice, simple and clean apartment in a great location in Harlem. Easy accessibility via trains, buses, or shared rides to a museums, theaters, research libraries, and other major attractions. I rented it for over a week and it was well worth it.

It was big enough for what we needed it for. Very clean, quiet, easy access to all locations.
It was the perfect first time getaway location to New York. Everyone in the neighbourhood was very friendly. All amenities were close (within a 5 min walk). Staying here was cozy. Highly recommended it. Thanks Patrick and Patricia for being as accommodating as this was a last minute booking. Didnt spend much time at the apartment because I wanted to see New York but for what I was there for it was very nice!

Conforme à la description avec des propriétaires très à l'écoute
Malgré son éloignement relatif, cette localisation nous a permis de nous rendre très vite sur les lieux de visites grâce aux lignes express de métro. Pensez à passer par le Bronx pour redescendre côté est. En premier étage l'appartement est un peu sombre mais très bien pour dormir après des journées bien remplies.

Home away from home
Great location, lots of food places and chill spots on Lennox ave. Less than 2 min walk to 135th subway station. The apt very clean and big for a one bedroom. Loved that it was open plan I felt like I was at home. Tv with lots of channels for those Rainy days. Few blocks from 125th street and lots of shops. Hosts were very polite and quick responses to any problems. Thank you for having us.

Very well located and near the subway
Very well located, convenient and safe location. It is very close to the subway (a 2-minute walk to line 2 and 3). Linens and a lot of towels were provided. There's several grocery stores within a 5 to 10 minutes’ walk. The contact with Patricia and Patrick was always very easy and most friendly.

Cozy and clean
The description of the apartment is accurate and access to the subway is very convenient. Cosmetically there are some things that could use updated and the water temperature while showering can change without warning. But the apartment is clean and there are ample bathroom linens. The pipes in the kitchen do clang a bit occasionally but this is typical of steam heat. Despite being very close to a large hospital the street was quiet and we felt safe during all of our comings and goings - we were there for 1 week.

Our trip was perfect!
We absolutely loved our stay with Patrick and Patricia! The apartment is much larger than what it seems in the pictures and had a great size kitchen which made it so convenient especially with NYC prices! The apt was super clean and we had the pleasure of meeting Charlene who welcomed us with an authentic Jamaican fruit cake! We were so touched by her kindness! The location of the apt could not be more perfect! It is steps away from subway, laundry and convenient store, a short ride away from Whole Foods and the Appolo and Red Rooster! Absolute MUST! (Shrimp and Grits) - if you are Hamilton fans, you are super close to the Grange and Morris Jumel museum. If you are looking for good BBQ try Dinosaur BBQ. You can take the A to 181st to see a cool view of GW Bridge! “But you must take the A train!” (In the Heights reference). The best thing about this trip is Patricia and Patrick allowed us to extend our stay when our flight was canceled due to the snowstorm! I almost didn’t want to write this review because I don’t want them to not be available when we come visit again, because we will definitely stay with them again! Let us know if you make it down to OTOWN! Thank you again! 😊

Me, my wife and two daughters had a 6-day stay in New York. Mrs. Patricia place is in the heart of the West side of Harlem. Nice clean brownstone in a peaceful block safe for you and your children. Definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting New York. Thanks again Mrs. Patricia for opening your place to me and my family. We look forward to staying at your place again next year.

Great location minutes from the subway and a wide variety of amenities
A clean and quiet location. Was able to check in and accessing the apartment was easy. The apartment is about 3 minutes from the 2 & 3 subway lines which made it easy to get around Manhattan. The apartment was comfortable with lot of linens provided for our entire stay. Some toiletries and bottles of cold water in the Refrigerator were provided which we used until we were able to go to the grocery store the following day. There's several grocery stores with in a 5 to 10 minutes walk from the apartment. We used the kitchen often and found it adequate for all of our needs. The Internet and tv channel selections were good for the family. The air conditioner was efficient and helped keep the bedroom cool, but much of the cool air didn't make its way to the living room and kitchen. Although there were ceiling fans in the rooms it wasn't enough to move the cool air to the other rooms. I would definitely consider the apartment for my next stay.

Fair accommodation
As mentioned in other reviews it was convenient to get to the subway station and also quiet at night after a hectic day in NY city. Also, as mentioned in previous review there was NO soap in the apartment?? I found it inconvenient as we arrived and we were tired and wanted to take a shower, but had no soap!! So we ended up using our shampoo as soap. At the rate we were paying I'd expect at least one bar of soap. To be fair it is not listed in what is supplied but I believe that in every place I've ever stayed there has always been at least 1 bar of soap. One other thing to be aware of is that there is one bedroom with a double bed, and then a pull out bed in the living room. There is no door between the bedroom and living room so if someone wants to watch TV while someone wants to sleep it is not possible. The light from the living room is also bothersome so even if not watching TV the people would have to sit in the dark so the person in the bedroom could sleep. I'm not nit picking Just wanting future renters to be aware of the short comings. The dark curtains worked well in the bedroom. Patricia was helpful when I called her.

I do not believe this rating is an accurate assessment of the apartment and therefore I wanted to clarify a few things. For future renters, soap is not provided due to our insurance company refusal to cover any allergies that could possibly arise as a result of guests using products we provide and we do not list soap as an amenity in our listing. The apartment is listed as an open style bedroom and additionally a fold out screen is provided by the bedroom door (which is quite visible) should someone need a little privacy.

Environnement très pratique
Les gros points positifs de cet appartement se situe dans son environnement : le métro est très proche, il y a un excellent food truck au coin de la rue côté Hôpital et une église méthodiste dans la 135ème rue très accueillante on a pu y assister à une messe en gospel qui nous a laissé un souvenir incroyable. Pour ce qui est de l'appartement...très sombre, équipement minimum, bref il faut l'utiliser juste pour y dormir.

The apartment has a large six foot window. We have a room darkening curtain put in from the request of previous guest who wanted to sleep in late. If the curtain is pushed back it will allow Al the light to come in. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook. There's cable television and the apartment is very clean.

Very convenient, quiet and safe location. Linens and a lot of towels were provided. Also the kitchen is sufficiently equipped (had breakfast and dinner most of the time in the apartment!). It is very close to the subway (two minutes walk to line 2 and 3). The contact with Patricia and Patrick was always very easy and most friendly. They are really great hosts. Unfortunately, sometimes the rising pipe in the kitchen is a bit noisy. I stayed almost two weeks there and would definitely recommend it. And don't miss the Harlem Fish Market on Lennox Ave. It's great!

Appartement très calme avec métro à proximité
Nous avons séjourné dans cet appartement avec nos deux enfants. L'avantage du logement est qu'il est situé dans un quartier calme à 2 minutes du métro. L'ensemble est correct, il manque par contre d'un peu de lumière naturelle et d'ustensiles pour cuisiner à minima. Le propriétaire est très disponible avant le sejour ainsi que pendant pour répondre aux questions organisationnelles.

Close to the subway, in a safe street, a very easy way to visit NYC! ... and during the night, silent and quiet! Just a little thing: please add a bowl and few dishes..... I hope to see you again! Vicino alla metropolitana, in una via tranquilla e sicura, una maniera molto facile per visitare New York! ... e, durante la notte, silenziosa e tranquilla! Very good location for a few days stay in NYC.
Quiet street and surrounding of the apartment with convenient access to Subway and only 10 minutes Express ride to north side of the Central Park and 20 minutes downtown NY (Times Square). Apartment clean and OK-maintained. Owners were very friendly, helpful and flexible with all the arrangements during entire stay (Special thanks to Patricia for her hospitality ! :-). Food and drinks shops in the close distance but no big variety of restaurants and bars - those to be found rather in Lower Manhattan. I would definitely recommend the property to those who are about to spend most of the time visiting NYC during the day and seek for good place to have a peaceful rest over night - like we did.
