The location was wonderful! The dog was able to be off-lead with her training collar and roam without fear of vehicles. It was calm and quiet and a relaxing time in the woods. We were fortunate to have very few mosquitoes and played sports outside and had windows open a lot.
No wi-fi, which I didn’t notice before booking. Luckily we could use our hotspots but signal was 1/5 or 2/5 bars. We don’t usually watch tv on vacation but had wanted to watch football or maybe a DVD. No cable, and the DVDs were all for adults, so I’m glad we brought The Lion King. We did play the board game, Sorry, and my 6yo enjoyed that.
We found a couple dirty tissues, balled up socks, and a dryer sheet on the floors of the rooms/loft, and a used band-aid stuck to the bunk bed frame. The first dishes I tried were oily and dirty so I washed every single dish and utensil we used after first washing the mildewy dish rack.
I am scent sensitive and my 6yo and I both get migraines. I brought my own soap but the dish cloths still smelled strongly of scent. I left linens at home and regretted it greatly as the scent of the sheets was so heavy. My 6yo asked to sleep on a T-shirt over his pillowcase because the pillow smelled too strong. The trash bags were scented as well and we found 2 scented plug-ins in adjacent outlets in the kitchen/living room.
I would return here - if everything switched to unscented/fragrance free.
