Absolutely shocking experience at this Vrbo property! The unit I was given was completely different from the one pictured on the website—bait and switch at its worst. The exterior was in visible disrepair: parts of the garage and roof were literally falling in, and a nearby electrical pole had live wires hanging at head height. It felt unsafe from the moment I arrived. The parking situation was a nightmare—so cramped there was barely space to get out of the car. Inside, things only got worse. The unit was dirty on arrival, the couch had multiple stains and a broken arm hanging off its side, and the furniture and walls were scuffed up everywhere. One of the beds was completely uneven, with shorter legs at the head, so you slept upside down.To make matters worse, a hallway door was unlocked and allowed open access to other rental units on the property, which is a huge security concern. When I reached out, the host never contacted me directly—instead, a property manager did, but only to offer another unit. That second unit was in the same terrible condition, with a live bug crawling across the couch. It gets more unbelievable: the property manager refused to issue a refund, telling me all interactions must be done through VRBO. But VRBO just passed the buck to the host, saying they ‘don’t keep cash on hand’ for refunds. Now, three months later and after repeated attempts from myself, VRBO, and even Amex, the host is nowhere to be found. This listing has “scam” written all over.
