« This is a well maintained retro lakefront motor lodge. The main and really only reason to choose the Lighthouse Inn is to have your room window open right to Lake Michigan rolling in all night with that gorgeous ebb and flow sound. We loved our evening in the bar/lounge. The young bartender was EXCELLENT. We had breakfast before departing. Food was excellent, front of house service needs ALOT of work. She kept going above and beyond to ask if we had everything we need or if there was anything she could do to make our stay even better. « Very good location Very friendly staff All really nice except a really major point when you travel for work and have to stand long working days: the breakbast is a joke and best to to drive 5 min to the next door diner. A pity really because this small hotel with this location has it all to be perfect. »

« I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was disappointing from the moment we arrived. The parking lot had multiple people loitering around who appeared to be homeless, and finding an actual parking spot for hotel guests was a challenge. Walking into the lobby, the smell of marijuana was overwhelming. Unfortunately, it only got worse in the elevator. It smelled like a hotbox, and there were dirty handprints all over the walls. Our room felt neglected. The blackout curtains were broken...

« Overall, we had a wonderful stay! The staff was fantastic and super responsive. When our smoke detector started beeping—disturbing our sleep—the staff immediately stepped in to change the batteries and contact maintenance. Even though maintenance couldn't come right away, the staff successfully stopped the beeping so we could rest comfortably for the remainder of our stay. ​We also loved the pool—it was huge and had plenty of space for everyone to enjoy! ​The only minor issue was that the shower...
