Closest Station: Hibarigaoka Sation on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line. From there, walk to Hibarigaoka Station North Bus Stop and take the Hibari73 bus (headed for Shiki Station) and get off at Heirinji bus stop, about a 15min ride.
Heirin-ji is a temple famous spot for fall foliage. The premises of the temple has a large wooded area, which has been designated as a national treasure. It really is beautiful all seasons throughout the year, but especially gorgeous as the various momiji (Japanese maple) leaves turn bright red and yellow. Location is near to many eateries and linkages to Shinjuku station. 15 mins walk to Shinjuku Station and Express Bus Terminal. Rooms are small. The room was stuffy and aircon central control. Needed a fan to ventilate the room.
