« Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. « Mandy rang us to ask what time we would expect to be there on the day, then met us as we parked up. Mandy was very friendly and warm. There were fresh cakes and coffee/tea when you are in the reception, you help yourself. Everything was spotless. The room was amazing, under floor heating in the bathroom was a treat. The bed was so comfy. The breakfast was perfect, the french toast was epic, you won't need lunch, the portion was a great size. I would recommend the home made granola, delicious....

« The place was very popular with locals so parking was a bit awkward, we arrived after 6pm and there wasn’t much room to park. Maybe one criticism would be there isn’t reserve parking for staying guests and after travelling 140 odd miles and to be faced with hunting a parking space was as I said a little awkward. But that shouldn’t take away from what was a nice place to visit great food and a generous breakfast, clean room comfy bed. »
