« We were looking for a convenient place to stay in Bridlington and I'm so glad we found "Salt on the Harbour". From the outside, it doesn't look like a hotel and you might have second thoughts. But inside, the rooms are very comfortable, with lovely views over the harbour. The location is perfect, with easy access to the beach, town and harbour, plus free parking is a bonus. « Sadly, this was a bad experience. I booked via Expedia where the hotel was advertising a Michelin trained chef and a restaurant. I travelled solo 145 miles for a two night break purely because of this. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn the restaurant closed last year. I expressed this disappointment in very civil tones, explaining this was the only reason for my visit. I asked the owner Stacie if I could therefore cancel my second night and obtain a partial refund for it. Stacie agreed...

« Property was quite dirty. I had to was all of the cutlery. There were grease smears on the cooker hob. The oven trays and grill were filthy. Did not use because of this. I did not receive the wifi information until 5 days into my stay. This was after leaving messages on owners voicemail. They never got back to me at all. Had to go through a customer complaints procedure with Sykes cottages to get the wifi details. No apology, just an email with a picture of the router (which wasn’t in the flat)....
