„the accommodation needs a lot of attention. Whilst this is located centrally on the island and within walking distance to beach and pub the cleanliness of the accomodation was 4/10. For the amount of money you pay you would expect the place to be in a better condition, however, we find this with a lot of the houses on Stradbroke Island, the attention to detail is not there, big cobwebs everywhere, broken slates, missing remote controllers to air con units, sand everywhere.“

"Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt im voco Gold Coast mit einem tollen Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Lorena, die unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit war. Da wir sehr früh abreisen mussten, bevor das Frühstücksbuffet geöffnet hatte, wurde uns unkompliziert eine Frühstücksbox zusammengestellt – ein wirklich toller Service. Auch der Parkplatz direkt in der Hotelgarage für 25 AUD pro Nacht war für die zentrale Lage absolut fair. Das Hotel liegt generell sehr gut und zentral an der Gold Coast. Surfers Paradise selbst hat uns weniger gut gefallen, weshalb der Mietwagen praktisch war. Die Zimmer sind zwar schon etwas älter, jedoch sauber und gepflegt. Das Hotel ist allerdings insgesamt sehr stark auf Massentourismus ausgelegt, was besonders beim Frühstücksbuffet spürbar war. Sowohl die Qualität der Speisen als auch die Auswahl konnten uns leider nicht wirklich überzeugen. Insgesamt dennoch ein angenehmer Aufenthalt mit sehr freundlichem Service und guter Lage."
