« Coming to Shipshewanna, we booked a room at Essenhaus Inn because our usual hotel was totally booked. I cannot begin to say how much we enjoyed our stay in the atrium! From the friendliness to the cleanliness...from the free brunch to the free "afternoon" cookies...we were really impressed. Next trip to Shipshewanna will find us staying at the Essenhaus Inn again! »

« Overall, we had a good stay. Check—in was unique. The rooms were spacious with very good furnishings. The bathroom floor seemed less than 5 star. Except for some nice area rugs in the two main rooms the floor was a finished concrete. On the upper level, and with only 11 rooms, there was minimal noise!
An entrance other than the truck stop “store” would have been a better option, such as using the stairs on the north end with key access.
The shower was great, however each of us slipped on its...

« The room was beautiful and comfortable. The staff was so so friendly and what an amazingly calm atmosphere. Great breakfast and the pool was great. Unfortunately they are remodeling the hot tub area and I wish I would have known that. However seeing the construction outside and inside ill be excited to see what's coming. »
