« Stephanie was so wonderful and patient and knowledgeable! The property is absolutely gorgeous and exceeded my expectations. I’m so thankful places like this exist and are being preserved and cared for by people who are passionate about history and story telling. Stephanie also prepared the most delicious breakfast for us despite my gluten sensitivity. I was so appreciative! I can’t wait to stay again (and hope to arrive earlier this time ;) ). »

« Cute place. Nice view. Clean rooms. Quiet. Staff was wonderful. Loved Peggy at the front desk.
Perfect place to stay. Having multiple restaurants attached to the hotel was a nice convenience. Oldest running hotel in the state of Minnesota. Has that charm. Not a chain. Even heard some cool ghost stories about the place. Do have to admit, we did hear some doors rattling at night. No explanation. lol. That was great. We want to go back, too. Thank you all for a great stay. »

« What a wonderful place to spend our 30th wedding anniversary! Gorgeous woodworking throughout the home, beautiful landscaped grounds to walk around in, breath-taking views of Lake Superior from the wrap-around front porch, as well as amazing food for breakfast! The shower in Betty's Room was like a waterfall paradise! So wonderful! We both enjoyed our stay at this property and would highly recommend it! Thank you! »
