« Everything was wonderful from the second we’re exited the car. The cabin is beautiful inside and out. The view was awesome. We spent the majority of our time outside. Playing horseshoes, fishing, swimming, riding the tiny pontoon boats, kayaking, etc. Loved it all. Wonderful welcome gift as well. Wonderful hosts, cabin, and location. Highly recommend. »

« This is our sixth summer at the cabin. It has become our happy place - hanging out in the sleeping porch elevated in the trees, reading and napping the lazy days away, going kayaking whenever the mood strikes, and hearing the loons at night. If you want to get away from the pressures of life, this is the cabin for you. We will be back once again next summer. »

« This sweet cottage was perfect for our weekend away from everything. The house was very clean and had what we needed to prepare simple meals. It was very quiet, wuth only a few friendly neighbors occasionally driving by. Bring your binoculars! We saw deer, pheasants, racoons, coyotes, cranes, and eagles in the field across the road. Alex responded very quickly to any messages we sent to him. »

« The little cabin was so cute, well maintained and offered everything for cooking. The outdoor dining and grill area is perfect. Check in was as easy as driving in and parking. We arrived when it was very hot but all the windows opened to a wonderful lake breeze. There was good fishing right off the dock and plenty of lake to explore with the kayaks. Not too far into town we found a public beach for swimming, a place to rent a boat and a bar with tasty walleye and ribs. As an added bonus there...

« We had a wonderful stay at the White Wings cabin. Such a beautiful experience. Having a private beach area was such a treat. Saw a Bald Eagle! The location was perfect, right between Ashland and Bayfield. Highly recommend this property. »

« The location was a few miles from Bayfield making it very convenient but allowing for privacy and relaxation from the busy town life. It was also an easy drive to the other side of the peninsula. Although the property is shared by another cabin the drive is large enough that it still felt like its own place. The beds were comfortable and the house was stocked with more than I ever realized. It was very nice to have so much included and not need to pack as much for the trip! »

« If you’re looking for a very nice quiet cabin this is the place. Had everything we needed, owners were very accommodating. Was able to dock our boat and was close to the cabin. Loved it!! »

« The cabin is extremely clean and well organized with anything you can think of. It's located really close to town, but just outside, so you have peace and quiet. The hosts are very responsive and it made for a perfect trip. »

« This was the second time we had a friend meet-up/getaway in the Gatekeepers Cottage... it is just so lovely and well appointed. The hiking trails are so nice to get out and enjoy the birds and lake views. We loved using the grill and fire pit, not amenities. You can sit and watch birds in the front porch forever. Ted & Lori are so friendly and attentive, a very warm and welcoming stay overall. »
